Vegan products
I thought it would be a good idea to make a sticky thread with a list of vegan friendly products available in NZ, and where to get them/approx cost. Would you guys be keen? It could just be a simple list that gets updated whenever someone posts a new item (and adjusted if anyone thinks something isn't vegan, without it turning into a bitch session). (I can just manually add stuff into this post so it's at the top and easy to read).
This of course wouldn't include raw foods such as veges/fruit, more for processed/prepackaged items, whether it be spaghetti or potato chips or soy sausages or whatever. Cleaning/healthcare products would be sweet too. Just figured it would be good for new vegans and for others to broaden the options on their shopping lists, and to clarify what is/isn't vegan. Feel free to start posting your fav foods!
*EDIT*
Ok so here starteth the list. I'm gonna steal the crocs format for now and add to it (thanks!). I've also got a bunch of stuff to add later on.

Sounds like a sweet idea. Do we need to mention production line residue for hard outs? Just had a quick look in the pantry, but the cupboards are pretty bare. Not 100% sure on some of these but I guess others can let us know:

Oreos
Fry's range of 'meat' products, hardish to find.
Veat (vegetable meat, usually found in asian supermarkets)
Cocopops rocks (or something like that)
Mi Goreng brand noodles, quite sure most if not all are vegan
I'll add some more later.
It's cool how pringles have a tick that say if they're veg(etari)an or not, too bad they're made by an arsehole company...so I'm told.

theres a brand of the 'farmbake' cookies that come in a paper bag that are vegan - apricot and chocolate flavour
all the biscuits are worth lookin through, not just oreos, a whooole heap of the shrewsberry type biscuits of the alternative brands are vegan!
Chips: health plus vinaigrette, and uppercuts balsamic and caramilsied onion are as vinegarey as vegan chips get
Frozen desserts: theres a brand of frozen pie dessert (I can't remember the name but youll be able to find it, as theres not really that many different ones) the desserts called 'Light' berry and apple (or berry and something) pie. Theyre one big one or four little ones in each packet covered in criss crossed pastry. yum!!
Frozen broad beans: AWESOME. cook em and when theyre tender drizzle extravirgin olive or walnut etc oil over them with fresh cracked pepper and salt.
Popsicle slushys YUM

Oreos are made by an animal testing company too
Yeah I know.
But fuck they're addictive.
There's a company that makes fake oreos, taste pretty good and I'm pretty sure they're vegan as well. Same deal with fake pringles.

Cadbury's chocolate powder. Better double check, but when I was working at the cafe I checked it and it had no milk (or soy) in it.
New Way flakey pastry. Vegetarian society approved, but looks vegan to me. Mmmm homemade vegan pies...
"All paid employment degrades the mind."
I think thats what I bought the other day..it was flakey and had the vege tick at least...and yup it was vegan....and yup it was MEAN as.

There's a brand on the market called "peanut chews" in some dairies, which are in a red packet and they are vegan. They taste kind of like snickers bars.
"Lite licks" soy ice cream is vegan...
Peanut chews are the fucking shit. A few supermarkets have small ones (cadbury favourites size) ones in the bulk bins. Mean shit.
Although they do have glycerin in them which can someimes be from animal sources.

Cooking your own meals is really important, and there are quite a few threads on here discussing rad recipes etc.
This thread to me kind of lets people know of products which are on the market that we can buy if we are feeling lazy or want a treat etc. Or that we can recommend to people getting into vegan lifestyle that may feel pretty daunted by the whole thing.

Umm kind of the point of this thread is products.
But I do agree about staying away from processed stuff as much as possible.
