Maybe I should just ditch the whole foodscraps remark.

My point was, it's not the same as eating straight out of a rubbish bin :P

haha i used to do that heaps. outdoor tables at cafes, food courts in the malls etc, eat any old crap cause it meant more $$ to spend on drugs and alcohol, real classy. who says there's no such thing as a free lunch? never got hit up about it by anyone, got some odd looks though.

well it aint free. Someone paid for it, they should damn well finish it. Fuckin wasters.

Actually, I got thinking about freegan ethics and trying to expand it to services in additions to goods.
The prime example would be an airplane - the divide between economy and business class.
Having spare business class seats and meals is a waste, no different to throwing out "best before" products.
Any more ideas to fuel my train of thoughts?

ive been hit up a few times when table topping. At an asian resturant the waitress came along and took the food away while I was eating it. At a shopping mall the security (or was it the cleaning people) told me I wasn't allowed to do it. on the west coast at franz josef I was eating chickn and chips out of a bin (not straight out of the bin, - I took the package out of the bin, then went away to eat it :D ) and this american tourist asked me if I would like him to buy me a meal, and i said "Im not poor you know...." - that was 2 years ago - these days I would be like 'yeah!'.... :D

Dont airlines give away business seats to economy class when theyre empty, occasionally?!
(but yeah I get what youre saying)

I've worked at a bakery for a very short period, and the bread/buns that were leftover at the end of each day were first offered to the staff and then the rest was given to the homeless.
... and there was heeps of it too... I only took mayb 2 or 3 loafs of bread.. I felt bad taking it too (knowing that it wasnt just gonna be thrown away.)

I saw a bunch ofwell-off hipster types on Broadway Ave/100th Street in Harlem tonight dumpstering food and scoring big time. I told the homeless guy a couple of blocks down that there were some white dudes getting food to donate to the homeless and pointed in their direction to make sure he got first dibs.

The Base sucks dude...it's all secured/locked-off really well. I won't divulge too many secrets or exact locations but Glenview New World, Fairfield New World, Rototuna Woolworths are all pretty good..
