Only the 3rd time I've been to NP for a gig, but great that they've got a decent venue for this sort of shit again. The fights started outside half an hour before the bands and the troublemakers generally accepted the suggestion to fuck off. Had barely heard Schizo Phrenia before. They played their punkier stuff and it was great. Lizzy's vocals would've been right at home in an 80s post-punk band.

Toxic Avengers and Nefarious are the punk so heavy it gets people headbanging. Just as scungy as the weed smell outside. Toxics obviously got a much better reception than the low key appearance in Hamilton in Dec 2008 when the fanbase just wasn't there. Classics such as Vodka Frenzy blasted out at full apocalypse. Wicked to finally see Nefarious too. Craig is a natural frontman. They nudged the favourite Catholic Farmboy Vs Darkside to the end of the setlist, good choice for closer. Hard case work from Nigel and Boot playing two sets in a row.

There's a vid of most of Toxic Avengers' set here, band starts 14 mins in:

PunkAs will do cartwheels when they find out a member of Blacklight Config was on sound 0X

Parking directly outside when going to a house party/whatever gig: noob mistake.
