Re: Songs you can't stop listening to
On a cheesey electronics bender over the last week.
This is what I thought the future would sound like when I was 14, and have been disappointed that it in fact sounds like Ed Sheeran.
Speaking of Ed Sheeran- many cultural atrocities planned by the City of Dunedin when he plays next year. They actually think that "Ginga City" is hilarious and funny and not at all offensive. I asked in a meeting why Dunedin didn't do the same for Black Sabbath and make the whole city black, didn't really get a good answer. :/

Me too. Had an email suggesting all the flower gardens are planted orange etc. Actual wtf, are the events people fucking stoned? Then it came up in the meeting and everyone thought it was great, with me lone facepalming and wanting to say- um , substitute Ginga with a skin colour and tell me if it is still hilarious. Sigh. Keeping it classy NZ...

This is a very decent chunk of disco/synthpop. It's a shame they don't have more stuff and this is pretty much the best of the lot.
Re: Songs you can't stop listening to
My feelings on this song have morphed over the years from being totally neutral, to regarding it as a solid classic rock tune, to recently deciding THIS SHIT IS DA FUCKEN BEST.

Still as good as when I first heard it in the late 80s.
