Congrats to Bruins, they dominated the series.

I was downtown last night but stayed away from the bullshit. Getting to the skytrain was a gong show, tear gas in the air, people and cops everywhere. Walked past a Tim Horton's with the glass door smashed in, pretty far from where all the cars were getting burned. I had friends caught up, the riot cops blockaded two ends of the street and wouldn't let people leave and then they gassed them. People were looting at London Drugs and the Bay Centre. Stupid shit, all of it. Pretty inevitable after the 94 showdown though. Fucking meathead cunts wrecking shit though, pathetic.

Pretty much the equivalent of this in New Zealand is if Bay of Plenty lost the Ranfurly Shield and a bunch of jocks started flipping cars and smashing windows in Tauranga.

The Driver Licencing organisation has handed over all their photo ID records to the cops.

In the wake of a recent public outcry against a 17-year-old Water Polo Canada star and Olympic hopeful caught on camera trying to set a police car on fire during the Vancouver riots, a Facebook group has been created asking that Nathan Kotylak be banned from representing Canada at the Olympic Games.

The Facebook group "100,000 strong to ban Nathan Kotylak from the Canada Olympic team" sprung up Sunday night with a clear message and purpose describing itself as "A group dedicated to supporting Canadian values and to denounce the actions of Nathan Kotylak."

Nathan Kotylak was photographed and filmed on June 15th attempting to set a police car on fire by lighting a torn shirt sleeve stuffed into the opening of the gas tank during the Vancouver riots that erupted over the Canucks loss of the Stanley Cup to the Boston Bruins. The police car was later seen engulfed in flames, but a connection to Kotylak's actions and the fire has yet to be officially made.
