I appreciate that the woman does all the heavy lifting so the name should be mostly her choice, and a non-mainstream name like Caleb or Eleanor is perfectly ok, but if the father is still in the picture he should have veto rights. Nothing says "my mother was a dumb illiterate solo parent" like "Katness".

^^ haha.
To be honest i always considered 'Jacinda' to be a pretty white trash name, more so with a 'T' instead of a 'D'. Before Labour's victory I was back home and I met a Jacinda, I chuckled a bit (discreetly), I guess i hadnt been home for a while, maybe im wrong but i haven't met many if any 'Jacinda's' outside of nz.

Admittedly this name doesn't grind my gears.

The temperature is grinding my gears. 5 fucking degrees and rail/hail/sleet. It is almost summer. And I have to go to a meeting at 7pm, or I could crawl into bed and drink ginger wine and watch movies.

Trying to keep a toddler entertained on a 30 degree day. Thought he might be amused by the novelty of a train ride through the country to a particularly good park - he was not. Trains are boring. The park itself was awesome because it has a rocket themed three story slide tower, but no shade. Discovered where the girls who used to line up outside Bang! ended up - staring at their phones while their shit tatts fade and their kids run rampant.

Endured the train back home, a kindly ice head gave us a pen and an adult colouring in page, which lasted about fifteen seconds. Went to the pool. A group of primary school kids were there having lessons and one of the little cunts shat in the water.

You are damn right. But there is no screeching in my house :)

extend the sphere of your screeching and get it out of your mind, that's your ultimate challenge.

A larger sphere costs more and takes longer to vacuum. Plus, given that Australian wildlife is typically louder than NZ wildlife, you can assume that an extended sphere will just teach kids to screech louder to compensate.

Phil Goff and the Orklanders cancelling Xmas (parade) and trying to convince people that Santa is a chic.

Mrs Claws is a good homemaker dedicated to her man, while Mr Claws is gallivanting around the world checking up on the naughty girls, she has to stay at home and cook the eggs for the elven slaves, doing the dishes and cleaning up reindeer poo at the North Pole. If we start changing gender roles in childrens fairy stories, where will it end? Transgender Asian Jesus? Gay dwarven Allah? Dont even get me started on Prince Charming molesting Sleeping beauty in her sleep...

Probably just stress and sitting in an office too long. I got one this afternoon and coffee fixed it.

Nothing is fixing them, and painkillers don't do anything once I've got one. I think they are some kind of migrane, hoping I don't have a brain tumour.

The way we go all gaga over a murder victim if she's young, white, pretty, rich, and a tourist, but don't give a fuck if she's a Maori from South Auckland.

Who's the Maori from South Orkland you are referring to??

Also:
The way we go all gaga over name suppression for the alleged murderer if the victim is young, white, pretty, rich, and a tourist, but don't give a fuck if the alleged killer is a Maori gang prospect from Dunedin with moko who allegedly killed two of his crack whore customers. Cant go into details without breaking name suppression, but google doesnt seem to mind...

The name suppression doesn't especially bother me, it's normal for the defence lawyer to at least apply for an interim suppression at the first appearance. All indications are that it will expire soon. To be honest I'm more bothered by how the Daily Mail and others are more concerned with generating clicks than respecting another country's court system. It's not as if his name means anything, google him and about the only hits that come up pre-December 2018 are for his old softball team.

She was already all over Facebook before they knew she was dead. It was as much about her going missing from central Auckland where everyone goes to get on da piss.
