Malcolm Young. And George too. The Easybeats must have been one of the hardest bands in the world at the time.

Just quoting this comment because it exists. Can't vouch for it or anything:

http://thecontrail.com/forum/topics/sick-sick-sick
In 1989/90 I attended school with Cherie Anderton, daughter of Jim Anderton and there were a few of us who were told of what he did to her and what her father was really like. The day she broke down in class after a pupil was saying how much her parents liked her father, she told the whole class what he did and she was not seen again at the school. Years later I bumped into her and asked her why nothing was done and she said because of who he was and they made out I was lying and crazy! needless to say she bats for the other team now and has nothing to do with her family. Her other sister a few years after running into her sister commited suicide, maybe she to had the same issues?

Sounds like Dolores O'Riordan forgot to take her bipolar meds. Didn't like their music at all but always sad when someone goes too young.

Grant Fell from Headless Chickens. Only the best NZ band in history. The reunion shoe in 2008 was gold.

RIP Rachid Taha. One of my sister's favourite musicians but I don't mind a bit either.

Jim Anderton threatened my father and family with violence when the company dad worked for didn't participate in Anderton's unionist strike. Anderton was the worst sort of dirty stinking communist thug.

He did that personally? I highly doubt that

Buzzcocks Singer died. :(

Sad. He was a nice bloke. And played terrific music. I slapped him real hard on the arse once. He bought me a drink. I didn't know he was into dudes at the time. He seemed to be a nice guy, the Buzzcocks were a regular in my discman when skateboarding to school as a teenager.

Mark Hollis from Talk Talk. Distinctive voice, and they were definitely a cut above the usual 80s synth pop fare like Duran Duran.

Apparently his wife went back to Japan a few months ago, then the old habits returned.
