Iggy Pop was bailed out by his manager Ray Manzarek after being picked up on a drunk and disorderly charge while wearing a dress. Manzarek asked him "Why are you wearing a woman's dress?". Iggy replied, "I beg to differ, this is a man's dress."

“To leave the comfort zone we now inhabit we have to learn a new way of seeing, or an old way we have forgotten to use” — Darryl Reanney

"What is indisputably true in the modern quantum mechanical perspective is that you cannot take consciousness out of it. It is through consciousness that we know the universe. It is because of consciousness that an electron has a particular structure as opposed to a wave structure. Consciousness is central to this quantum mechanical perspective of reality. To simply excise consciousness in the interest of so-called objectivity is in a deep sense non-scientific. The people who cling to this paradigm are failing the very science they call on for their endorsement." — Darryl Reanney

"Awareness of self, and awareness of mortality go hand in hand." — Darryl Reanney

"Inaction will cause a man to sink into the slough of despond and vanish without a trace." — Farley Mowat

"Man at last knows that he is alone in the unfeeling immensity of the universe, out of which he emerged only by chance. Neither his destiny nor his duty have been written down." — Jacques Monod

Haha fuck yeah LBJ. As I understand it the only other president apart from Trump to get in with no prior political experience, and he went down as being one of the BEST. I don't think Donald J Trump is going to live up to that legacy somehow...

it doesnt look likely, at this stage hes just making a complete balls up of it like he does of everything, fortunately the president of the united states has very little actual power to change laws and even make decisions, the senate might be republican, but they dont like trump either.

just a little concerned about his status as commander in chief in light of his dodgy as fuck alliance with putin, who is HARD on the internet propaganda, i have had several crazies and not a few naive twerps tell me how great putin is

Tom Robinson on selling his gear:

"(Two scruffily dressed rastas) were looking at the stuff in my garage and TRB was written on one of the flight cases. One of them says, 'Yeah, Tom Robinson, what happened to him? He was really good, man!' So I said, 'Well actually, I am Tom Robinson.' And the guy said: 'Hey, you ought to keep at it, you know. People who keep at it always come back in the end.' So I said 'Sure, look at Eddy Grant.' And he replied, 'I am Eddy Grant.' "

For painting: literally; for other arts: figuratively — because, without this humble appliance, you can't know where The Art stops and The Real World begins. "I whole-heartedly agree that every rap-rock band out there is rubbish, but I accept no responsibility for those morons. Whenever I hear these bands say that Faith No More made them what they are, I just shrug it off because if I were to stare too much into the mirror I would have committed suicide long ago. Maybe I should blame Anthony Kiedis, that'd be more fun." - Mike Patton

He cares about [socio-economic] class, and class knows no color. We need to realize that today: Don’t fight each other, fight the top. Fight those in power.”
