A list of bad things about New Zealand

1. Telecommunications companies (Vodafone, Telecom, Orcon etc) charging exuberant amounts for net, mobile phone and phone.
2. The Auckland City Council. A bunch of retards running around like headless chickens.
3. Auckland Transport. Charging ridiculous amounts for bus fares, poor bus routes to everywhere, slow buses and too fast buses. Buses are not at all in sync and always arrive a minute after or a minute before, no monitoring or evaluating of bus times. Instead of buses stopping, slowing down or speeding up to regulate bus times they do nothing. A million different bus companies under different names all in competition with each other instead of just one big bus company. Third world ethics.
4. New Zealand businesses. Archaic business ethics. Third world technologies.
5. Traffic.
6. Lack of insulated housing, no central heating. A constant cutting down on housing costs or a trimming down on necessities.
7. Restaurants, bars and all other places try to skip on air con or heating. They also offer poor selections of beer. There is also a severe lack in vegetarian options.
8. Petrol prices.
9. Praising the all mighty dollar instead of the community hence the increasing amount of suicides.
10. The aging population. Senility seems to be the 'in' thing these days.
11. You have a mental disorder if you say hi to someone or if you are generally happy.
12. No bargaining power.
13. Shops shut at 17:00 the same time you finish work.
14. Street cleaners and truck drivers don’t care if you’re sleeping nor does the council. Street cleaners will clear at 03:50 and trucks will drive at 05:00. Your well being is not their concern, their double time for working unsociable hours is.
15. Under staffed and over worked employees in the Auckland and Waitakere legal systems.
15(a) A considerable lack of structure and poor planning in Aucklands Health Sector. Third world health system, legal system and transport systems.
16. No training material at any job you go to. It will be on the spot training through word and mouth.
17. The brain drain. If you’re not experienced you won’t get the job so go overseas and spend your youthful energies on providing another country your great talent for more money at that.
18. Parliament.
19. Prime Minister.
20. Red tape everywhere, it will stop you from trying anything so don’t try go overseas.
21. Retail outlets (Dick Smith Electronics, Bond and Bond, Farmers, The Warehouse) Try being original and buying things that aren’t from China or made by slave labour. Bunch of finance people behind each company spinning the million dollar wheel, trying to fill their pockets through the lives of their slave driven sales people. What’s your next big innovation going to be? Stamping adverts to our head?
22. New Zealand television, ads ads and more ads. Bad acting.

Good things about NZ
1. Beaches.
2. Forests.

But its because New Zealand just doesn't have a big enough population or enough money to compete with 'proper' first world countries. You get what you pay for, but its still worth it to have so much space and so much untouched land.

Maybe we could be more like Spain, shops can close around 2pm-5pm then reopen at 5pm. But I suppose we don't really have the temperature for that.
