recently saw pictures of kids hardcore dancing in a moshpit at parachute. some of the kids were going pretty hard, guess they've been breaking jaws for jesus since 1994.

GuitarPro and metalkore is fucking sweet. It sounds like the songs that didn't make it onto an Enter Shikari album.

One thing I found about christians moshing and stuff, they're incredibly good cunts when someone falls over/loses something. I lost a shoe at a show at parachute and a circle about 5m wide opened up immediately so I could find it again and put it on. Was lovely.

people at punk gigs often help you up, i do, at metal shows they kick you and hardcore gigs they usually just ignore you.
nicest pit ive ever been in was millencolin, on more than one occasion people picked up mine and my girls stuff and put it back in my pack and zipped it back up for me...
cheers skater types.

yeah, well, now we've talked him out of exploring an entire musical approach which could've eventually led to bigger things. there's nothing wrong with a few jabs to toughen the young ones, but when it comes to older people failing to pick on someone their own size for the sake of preaching 'exclusivity', you have to wonder which club would be more fun to take part in at his age.

i went to my first punk show at 14, was pretty intimidated and didnt attend another one for about 5 years, then when i started going to shows i found out about thru punkas i was very surprised, and stoked, at how intimidating everyone wasnt.
but after a while the niceness really palled, it just isnt punk, fortunately theres still a bit of danger in the punk scene, not all of the punk scene is a complete fuckin wimp, but a lot of it is.

dunno what im trying to say really.

well... i wouldnt really ask to bring back the early 90's but i guess i dont feel like a really cool badass dude in my leather jacket when everyone im hanging out with is soft kids.
its not like i want to get in fights at gigs or anything, i guess it just feels a wee bit embarrassing at times.

mind you, i notice in places like auckland these days you kinda get left alone by toughguys when youre hanging out with basically a bunch of dorks into dressups...

i suppose theres pros and cons either way you go, id rather risk a hiding than feel like a fraud tho.

Is there actually anything worthwhile from the other side of the punk scene though? The only interesting people to me seem to be the oldies and when on good terms with those trying to start fights it all just winds up in debating the merits of poppy seed tea over codiene or wanking on about how much of a fash cunt you are. Too jaded by being a magnet for boneheads not to sell out and be one of the hip kids, but sometimes it gets a tad too annoying when you're stuck with people nodding their heads at the edge of the crowd so they don't chip their teeth on their Becks.

Hahahhaha
. Oh that was indeed a nifty post. Good old fashion nz red neckery.
Anyway back on topic. I think the a.k scene has had the biggest kick in the pants in many a moon....the long awaited solo album of the rabble bassist is here. Onya Jamie Rabble, cant let chaz steal allthe glory. To be fair, its far less shit than chaz's. Poppy ramones kind of stuff. Think its on Band cloud or Noise camp or someshit. If you are really that bored you will find it.
