I'm also a big fan of the wirehaired visla. Probably because I liked the Neverending Story as a kid

oh woogie! ^

both species are great. i love cats' perversity, almost bonelessness [compared to dogs] + dont-give-a-fuck-ness.
I am also hideously allergic to them, so dogs get my love, I just chat to cats ["YOU'RE A KITTY!"]

I got to dogsit my friend nikki's dog.
He is named Biggie Smalls.
He is a king.

All the best bits of Pug/Maltese cross.

Another friend's dog, Vader, is the best fucking dog evah. Staffie/lab cross. With all the sooky and dumbness of both [respectively]

where im working today there is a big mastiff cross with a dark almost black brindle/tiger stripe coat he has tawny gold eyes and an intense stare, clipped ears and looks tough as fuck, scarier even than this guy.
combatrock wrote:Image

he actually looks a lot like that, friendly as hell tho, always coming over for pats, its a bit disconcerting when a dog nearly as big as you trys to climb into your lap, rakes you with his claws, im scared hes gunna walk into one of the chainsaws actually, the big dopey fucker, i dunno his name so i just call him puppy, big goofy satans hellhound.

Don't know if i like clipped ears, and i was pretty certain it was illegal in nz, but that dog is fucking mean, gotta love mastiff crosses, they are generally just big softies once you get past the vicious hellhound exterior.

meanwhile this hound is in hell

i agree about the clipped ears looking cool, not that it's a good enough excuse to do it or anything but it does.
niXon wrote:Do you eat your chickens bird meat or just their eggs?
just the eggs, they're all far too lovely and awesome to eat! more like spoilt pets than livestock. don't think i could ever eat chicken again after being around them everyday, the kid over our back fence agrees too. he's got a gap in the fence he peers at them through, loves them and has banned his mum from ever buying chicken to eat haha. i have kept animals for eating in the past, never spent any time around them except to feed them though. and they never got named, the chooks all have names.
