I kinda want a project kid right now, like make them listen to a certain type of music and see if it has any effect on their life.

yea, my girls listened mainly to bad brains, the slackers, the pixies, leonard cohen & slayer

although, they're both at school now & they like high school musical etc. so sthey don't like a lot of the music i'm into, the ones i mentioned above are still safe as though.

ps. shortlived and coffee rage get some rotation around here a bit as well. silly uncles sam & chris with their squeels and grunts always goes down well.

What are those ones like? I've never heard them but we sell them at work. I watched some of 'Baby Mozart' from the Baby Einstein series.. fucking psychedelic bright sparkly tingly distorted insanity. I wouldn't recommend the Baby Einstein range unless you want to haunt your baby into an over-stimulated state of psychosis.

Phil Specter and Motown, I reckon.

Or Napalm Deaths Scum.

Actually, I reckon it'd be best to save the poor kid the hassle of having to grow up and have its tastes derided on future message boards by poking out its ear drums with skewers.

I always feel really stupid around babies, especially when they stare at me. I always feel compelled to pat them like they're a cat but I don't think that's the done thing.
