Good music for babies

Postby Cavale » Tue Jun 17, 2008 2:46 pm

Does anyone know any good bands for babies to listen to?

She's worn out black seedss, mika and baby dub.
Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round heads in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

yeh but i dont call it 'folk' i just call it 'irish'

and i only really like it when the pogues or DKM or some other enterprising people with guitars, drums and a drinking problem are involved.

but theres a lot to be said for a mandolin and a bodhran, but yeh, all sorts of folk music would be great for kids.

especially ones with double entrendes.

The first one liked ska when she was a baby. Citizen Fish and Bad Brains I remember being thrashed daily. Simon will remember more than I do probably but I distinctly remember a Backyard Burial month or two. She has always loved Dead Prez.
The second one doesn't like anything that doesn't go BRRROOOMMM. Actually thats not true, he danced to Nashville Pussy the other night.
From my experience babies love ska, reggae, melodic death metal and grindcore.

How old is it? My three year old currently likes King Cannons but she isn't really that into the shit I like. She did ask for Stiff Little Fingers a while ago, but mostly she likes listening to her fairy tape. It has stories about fairies on it. She also used to like the managers.
