From what I have read etc it seems that the weed in the boardbag was probably hers...

even so, shes been punished quite severly compared to acts of murder and manslaughter.. but maybe over there the social costs of each is different to here.

I still think she should be deported to auzi and punished by their judicial system.

Both her father and brother have drug smuggling convictions, that's damning in itself

word on the street is that she was bringing it for her brother.

it's kinda sad when we all rally behind someone just because of how she looks (supposedly, i don't think she's that great myself).

apparently she has also bribed officials before.

and yes the sentence is quite harsh, but she knew the consequences.

You telling me that if it was some grandma that it wouldn't get a comparable level of publicity?

OK, you're probably right. I just thought there were a number of points in this particular case that made it quite an unusual and subsequently "quirky media interest" story. But granted, the defence team totally played on the whole "she's just a sweet, innocent white girl from Australia" thing

yeah, the fact that she was always gonna be found guilty but that so many people were in doubt makes it a "tragedy" instead of just some stupid ho getting busted smuggling drugs into a country where the drugs are cheeper than where she got them from. even easier to sell than "HOT WHITE WOMAN IN TROUBLE IN EVIL FORGEIGN COUNTRY"

Funny thing is, it could have all been solved quite easily if they'd bothered to weigh the bag when they seized it in Indo, then compared it to the weight of the bag when she checked it in. Even a complete dumbfuck wouldn't miss a 4.1kg weight difference.

Without that evidence, or any other evidence proving innocence, the court didn't have any choice but to assume they were hers. Yeah, the sentence is way harsh, but if you're gonna smuggle drugs to Indonesia, you'd be aware of the repercussions of getting caught. Look at those retards who tried it on with the H strapped to their bodies. Fucking idiots...

regardless of if she is guilty of that offence or not, i believe she should walk free. shes spent 9 months in prison so far. shes served her time as far as im concerned. 9 months without freedom must be hell. Our prisons are about rehabilatation, and you know that if she did comit this crime theres no way in fuck that she would again.

always thought she was guilty

don't really give a toss about her, thought she pulled some good dramatic stunts but not good enough to get off her charges.

^aha true, didnt notice that, thats a pretty bold claim.. prison is just a crime training camp, its ridiculous, imprisonment is a stupid idea anyway, its just to satisfy the perversions of our masters, like whippings, hangings and other sadistic punishments.

the real punishment often comes after release, and that is what all punishment should be beased on, social restrictions, priviliges lost, abilty to own certain things blocked etc..

imprisonment shouldnt be a punishment only a tool for the protection of people.
