Double Down - thoughts and comments
Double Down - thoughts and comments
Was expecting it to be quite average, the bacon from KFC is hardly top quality, and the cheese is usually pretty plastic, so essentially all you're getting is a couple of patties...and you would think that they would be much better if they were in a bun with some sauces and lettuce etc. Was in fact pleasantly surprised. The cheese is a much better quality than average KFC cheese, think it was peppered or something. The bacon was normal I guess, but you only really noticed it as a slightly bacony flavour to the whole thing (so its not particularly abhorrent or anything) and quite frankly I was impressed. Good on you KFC, you've done it again. Still, probably won't eat a whole lot of them as they are ridiculously unhealthy, and I don't eat that much KFC these days anyway because they're fucking useless.

And like ACT rhetoric, once I've fully digested it I'll probably feel quite ill.

Re: Double Down - thoughts and comments
definitely better than expected. would (and probably will) trade again. diabetes, here i come.

Re: Double Down - thoughts and comments
Massive queue for these here in Puke, as for the sandwich/burger it wasn't bad, but not really good either. The cheese has pepper and mustard mixed through I think, giving it a different texture to the standard rubber cheese we are used too these days. Mine was incredibly greasy and hot, it pretty much melted and fused with the paper it was served in.
Probably wont get another.

Quite happy with it. Feel about like I do after any KFC feed.
Line was outrageous. Went through drive-thru. Car in front had the numberplate "FAT GIT".

I'll try one for shits and giggles, certainly won't be making a habit of it.
Actoncampus aye? They should film Don Brash eating one, would probably be as golden as the footage of old mate getting into a stockcar.

Re: Double Down - thoughts and comments
Not so good that anyone should wait in an enormous line for it.

Re: Double Down - thoughts and comments
it was about as good as I expected. Quite greasy. Very filling, I wouldn't need it any bigger than that. The sauce is quite nice as was the cheese. Put chips in it for the extra special touch I give it a 7/10

Something tells me you don't like KFC.
You should feel like an idiot for expecting it to not be KFC.

I'm just saying, if you don't like the chicken, sauce, bacon and cheese in this you must either fucking LOVE the bun, or not like KFC.

Re: Double Down - thoughts and comments
Just had one with zinger fillets. Tastes good, feel full and kinda ill now. Would trade again.
Re: Double Down - thoughts and comments
Al did you know that you can get an app for iPhones that converts an iPhone into a KFC chicken fillet (original only, coding for zinger is too complex). So you get two iPhones and install the app, run the converter sequence and simply put bacon, cheese and sauce in between the two phones and enjoy. No lines, no hassle.

Surprised he didn't go to McDonalds buy a McChicken and modify it into his own version of a double down, then rub one out with it.

Today is the whitest I've ever felt since being dragged to Polyfest. Casual racism aside this really the best thing to happen to chicken in years. They ran out of bacon and zinger though so I had to DIY when I got home. Even the box was dripping with grease, but so damn good. Closest thing I've ever had to a religious experience.
