i remember reading charlie and the great glass elevator when i was 7, i remember i was 7 cos one of charlies grandparents was relating that she was 8 when a certain event happened(in order to determine her age) and i was highly insulted that she described 8 as 'very little'.
i started doing drugs and drinking when i was about that age so my literary achievements kinda plateaued with LOTR and roots.

Also grew up on Roald Dahl, and thought Harry Potter movie was all good. This was probably helped by the fact that i'd forgotten almost all of the events in the book, meaning i didn't miss the ones they omitted. Worth my $10.

Got dragged along to see it a couple weeks ago.

Felt like a looser standing in line with kids wearing wizard hats and fat men in trackies and crocs.

Was long, pretty boring and didn't really find any jokes funny.

Special effects were kinda sweet I guess.

Wouldn't really recommend it to be honest but I guess it depends how much of a fan/nerd you are.
