Ska B Q

Postby BOOT GIRL » Fri Mar 13, 2009 10:01 am

This was my first time seeing Aotearoa Ska so heres what I thought of the bands ;
Los Radicals ;Liked their covers of classic two tone by the specials ,selector etc
atushi and the moisties:fun band and great to see a band playing and influenced by early /traditional ska
Battleska gallatica ;excellent ska and a couple of political songs as well
4 mexicanos;played more reggae than ska not really my thing as im more trad Ska and two tone ,we left at the start of the offbeats so didnt really hear them ,was excellent to hear live SKA!

You left before the start of the offbeats, would have missed some fun times.

Not that I can talk since I gave the gig a miss for a farewell party

Was a smashing night!
Best I've ever seen the Moisties!
Battleska were pretty sweet, insane muso's.
Love The Mexi's.
Offbeats my highlight, never get to see them so mint 1.
Good work Dusty Box!
