The ending scene is the best scene ever in a movie.
From the moment he rises up behind that guy, the movie kicks fucking ass! 10 minutes straight of Rambo blowing people in half with a big ass machine gun rules. Then cutting some guy down to the spine with a machete, then kicking him is the shit
Would watch multiple times more

this is definitely a good addition to the rambo series. miy only gripe would be there's not enough stealthy shit like in the others. there's a bit but it needs more. the utter carnage when he commandeers the machine gun at the end is awesome - but rambo is at his best when he's setting traps and popping up behind people and fucking them up.

Sylvestor Stallone wrote and directed this himself. That end bit with the machine gun was hillarious.
Everywhere I went it felt like they were watching me; fish-white flesh puckered by the Highland breeze; tight eyes peering out for fresh meat; screechy, booze-soaked voices hollering out for a taxi to take ‘em halfway up the road to the next all-night watering hole. A shatter of glass; a round of applause; a sixteen-year-old mother of three vomiting in an open sewer, bairns looking on, chewing on potato cakes. I ain’t never going back… not never.

I think the problem was that the Rambo I like was more of a tortured soul who was just fucked with by asshole till he snapped and taught them all a lesson. There are hundreds of movies where musclemen kill gooks/arabs/russians.
Though I guess I'm still just clinging to First Blood and won't accept that Rambo has become something completely different since the early eighties or whenever the fuck it came out - I'm not going to IMDB to look it up, so blow me.
I guess if you take it at face value, it's pretty decent action, I'm still disappointed that since the first episode of this series they took out every bit of emotion and character buildup and replaced it with explosions and cheesy one-liners.

yeah that's what happened. stallone takes the basic idea of the first movie and condenses it into a very simple moralistic idea and covers it in hyperrealistic violence and machoism. same with rocky.
it'd be good to see something with the emotion and drama of the first . the next rambo film might have elements of that stuff supposedly.

COME AND HAVE A GO AT ME YOU LADYBOY CUNT
This movie ruled. Shameless violence. Shamelessly grooming the audience into regarding the Burmese soldiers as the most vile genocidal pedo rapists on the planet so that Rambo can dismember them with a machine gun.
Even the godboy brains one of them with a rock.
Less helicopters exploding after being hit by arrows was a plus too..

The parasites are excited when you're dead; eyes bulging, entering your head; and all your thoughts yeah, they rot.
