Haha, it's more of a grotty beef mince flavour given that's what's in it. And the pastry is nice and thick.

I dont have much interest in existing in a sauce less world.
It's been interesting going to the supermarket and observing what people are stock piling/ panic buying. By the looks of things 90% of Australia plans to A) shit a lot and B) Exist on pasta, white bread and pre made pasta sauce.
Now the latter will definately clog up their bowels and thus render the former obsolete. And after they are all suitable constipated, they shall all get scurvy.

All the fish n chip shops here have started selling marinated raw fish, which is really the only way to do it. Best one in Gisborne that is always cooked just right is at London Street in Kaiti. Not too greasy so you won't feel ill afterwards, batter is the correct colour, owned and operated by local Māori. I always get a punnet of raw fish too, yum.

There's a mana wahine who makes fish and chips out of a truck on the river front. Pretty good. Need a mean as maori woman to make it pretty mean. Actually Tasmania has pretty mean kai moana. Had good pub feeds of calamari and shit too.

Last night I had a sole burger from the bottom chippie in Port Chalmers. The battered sole was almost three times the size of the white burger buns. An amazing piece of fish, but ultimately there was not enough tartare and lettuce to go with it.
