anyone watch this?
i thought it was pretty good, the old footage of him and rove and community tv was funny as, the peyote church was fucking funny, to quote that cowboy guy, "I like, started taking peyote, and then, like, I BECAME PSYHIC!"
although it sorta lacked the non stop hiliarity that music jamboree had.
the end was cool, "You're too stupid to be an athiest!"

Pretty humorous show, unfortunately my reception was fucked at the time so I could really only hear it... Although the reception did clear up nicely in the part in which he vomited from drinking the peyote. I was dissapointed he didn't achieve the peyote trip with religious overtones that he was promised, that would have been funny to watch.

i applaud C4 showing this series, however recommend that you go out and buy the 2 disc collectors edition for all the extra bonus footage that was either censored or cut from the tv series. Definately a step up from the popular music jamboree.

silly john isnt much of a druggie (as he confessed) ive never done peyote, but i gather its not much different to san pedro, in that YOU GOTTA DRINK IT ALL in one go, not over like 6 hours, and then puke it up at the end..
you puke you fail, no spirit journey for you john saffran.
loved the show tho, the hippy tripper religious nuts cracked me up.

He showed how in Washington DC a five pointed star couild fit on map to mark out the five freemason temples. Also how the same star could fit in the shape of the military building the pentagon. This star could be found again on the one dollar bill also by linking the letters used to spell MASON

pretty funny show. I liked the bit where he followed his mates dad to the freemason gathering. And he pretended to look inside, then showed a picture of what he saw!
I remember seeing John Saffran in somehting else before this show came out and thought he wasnt that funny at all. This show is ok though.
