Well, Ann Hartley was happy to pose with her grandkids for her 2005 election campaign. Evidence is that like 99% of grandparents she adores her grandkids and would certainly help them out if they needed it.
Image

I'm just not buying Turei's claim that she had no choice but to lie about her living situation or else her daughter would starve, which is what she and her spindoctors have been trying to portray. She's middle class through and through, as are most Green party voters. They vote Labour, not Green, in South Auckland and Porirua. The Greens' demographic is young professionals in the rich urban electorates like Wellington Central, Rongotai, Auckland Central. The latte sippers.

What I really hated was the vitriol aimed at Kennedy Graham and Dave Clendon by Bradbury and Macskasy at the Daily Blog, and the Green Party activists on twitter. That alone is enough to put me off voting Green.

Please note that I haven't personally attacked anyone in this thread. OK, maybe Jacinda a little, and that was more aimed at challenging the hype around her than anything else.

I'm a pretty relentlessly, annoyingly positive person generally, but I am pretty "fuck New Zealanders" tonight. What a country of ignorant inbred small minded fuckwits. Between the local arseholes waving their dicks and the global arseholes waving their dicks I am about ready to go bush.

You mean trying to make obtuse retards such as yourself understand that 'sjw's' are not paragons of morality?
but there's no talking to people who can only see in black and white, and soak up propaganda readily, whether it be from Lena Dunham or mike hosking, either way, you're a fucking idiot who doesn't think for himself max

You have no clue about me. Barely heard of Lena Dunham except as an object of abuse for everything the Breitbart crowd claim to stand against, and I never watch Hosking (annoying git). Telling someone they "can't think for themselves" is the dumbest insult ever, nobody is completely uninfluenced by other people's opinions. And given that I'm willing to go against the opinion of 90% of the people in this thread and take abuse for it, obviously I can do my own research and come to my own conclusions. You won't catch me spreading dumb, misleading, poorly researched internet memes.

Here's another which political party quiz - http://www.onthefence.co.nz/share/B041Bl6Yo

It seemed to be designed really well, but while it gave me greens as my 1st option, it gave me united future and Maori as the second - the fuck?

Based on the results at the end it seems that UF are more progressive than I thought on some issues, but plenty of questions they were on the opposite end to where I was and only in the top 3 for 6/18 questions.

Also,on the tax question the results suggest National are second to greens on wanting to tax the rich more? And labour is 4th behind NZFIrst

Quiz seems broke

Well, don't see much point in giving my party vote to Mana, they won't make 5% so there's just the slim chance Hone will get in (if he does he'll be their only MP). My result from that test is 1.Green 2.Labour 3.Maori, and I don't trust Labour at all so I guess I'm still voting Green. Wish they hadn't made such a mess of this campaign, but I'm hoping the latte sippers will realise that if they all give their party vote to Labour they're going to lose Green representation altogether. They're unlikely to pick up working class votes without Metiria, but something like 6-8% is not unrealistic.

Seems like the polling period was right after the big dramas. Hopefully they can bounce back.

Yeah, plus landline only poll would likely make a difference for progressive young green voters

I'm pretty convinced that the Youtube generation has fucked polls completely now. Heaps of people will give joke answers just for a laugh. Definitely the case with Brexit.

If I was in Ohariu I'd probably vote for the National candidate (the one who's been telling people to vote for Dunne). Mr Shouty police stooge Greg O'Connor is such a tool.

i dont even know who my local candidates are, ive met the greens one, she seems like a well meaning drip, fuck knows who else im voting for, i dont even really care, at this point its worth chucking a vote up labour, even tho gareth morgan is 100% correct in his summation of the party and its idiot voters, just to ensure national dont get back in, but holy hell it shows how little option we have, and how fucking pointless voting is at all

My electorate's pretty boring, safe Labour, National came close in 2008 and minor parties don't really get a look in... so essentially my electorate vote is meaningless. Those of you who live in more interesting electorates have the opportunity to vote tactically, for example if the Labour candidate is a total douche like O'Connor why not electorate vote National? Won't make any difference to the final numbers. And if a local electorate candidate is high on the party list anyway, why bother giving them the electorate vote as well? Party vote is the one that matters.
