they should have rubbish compactors outside parliament buildings.

some more policies would be public flogging for littering and of course doing away with this ridiculous pointless election and voting sideshow once in power.

Have decided I would like to see a comparitive poll on the day to see who everyone ended up actually voting for IRL, could someone make it happen pls.

No longer undecided, Internet/Mana party vote, Labour for electorate (seems like an alright cunt, you know, been out kissin' babies hard out and that. Currently blue in the Wairarapa, but we swing between them and red quite often).

My final thoughts 1: Dear people put off by the "fat German" playboy, I'm no fan either, but he's not on Internet-Mana's list (and never can be); Laila, Minto, and Sykes will be great in parliament - and that's who a vote for Internet-Mana is really for, not Dot Com.

And if you're concerned that Dot Com has control over Hone, Laila, Minto, or Sykes, fair point - except that's just laughable. Can you imagine anyone telling Hone what to do  Besides only one of them is in the Internet Party anyway (the rest are Mana). My vote against National will be going to the party with the policy I like the best, Internet-Mana.

My final thoughts 2: I'm reminded of the many people I've encountered whose first choice is Green or Internet-Mana, but wrongly think it's a wasted vote in terms of getting rid of National.

A vote for the Greens are a good choice of vote to get rid of National. I'm the first to lambast them for their silly dili-dallying with coalition with National ideas. Even if they were still in that silly place I'd still rather take the extremely slim chance they shacked up with a compromising National than voting for a party that is still very openly neo-liberal (ie Labour; even if they are slowly heading back in the right direction while the Greens drift slowly righwards to the centre). But that's not the case. Metiria has clearly stated that there will be no deal with National.
The Greens will be an influential part of any left bloc government, if you like their policies best there's *never* been a better time to vote for them. Don't be fooled by Labour's false claim they are the only vote to get rid of National.

Internet-Mana are also a good vote to get rid of National. While Labour have ruled them out of being in a coalition, that doesn't matter at all - they don't need to be in a formal coalition to get rid of National. They can quite happily sit in the cross-benches (as the Greens have successfully done for years) and get things done. They can do a confidence and supply deal without being in a coalition, or they can give Labour confidence and supply on an issue by issue basis. Internet-Mana are an effective vote against National.
There is the slim chance that Hone doesn't retain his seat, in which case I-M votes will be wasted (as I-M are unlikely to make the stupidly high 5% threshold to enter parliament on the list vote); but the latest poll has him neck in neck with the Labour candidate - the same poll that had him neck and neck last time and he romped home on the day with a healthy majority, so it's a pretty good bet he'll retain his seat.
To see Liala, Minto, and Sykes in parliament will be awesome; even if national do managed to win. So if you like their policies best vote for them now, because if they fail they'll likely be commended to the rubbish bin of history like Alliance.

hone has to win his seat or we are fucked, im gutted i couldnt vote for annette now.
fuckin fucked up racially based polls, looking at the electorate vote in tauranga is why i never used to vote at all, just nobody to vote for, i ended up giving to the local green, no point doing that, but seriously no point voting for anyone on there... i really hope annette pulls it off.

this shit with national and maori party telling their voters to electorate vote for the labour asshole in te tai tokerau just shows how scared they are, and it exposes something of an unholy alliance between teh two major parties, as ive said a few times, i dont see it as unthinkable that national and labour make a coalition, not this time around maybe, but next election if the small parties keep growing, the truth is that they have more in common with each other than they do with any of the others.

with the possible exceptions of green and act.

hopefully national telling it's supporters to vote labour for the electorate made a whole bunch of labour supporters decide to vote for hone.

a future scenario with a national-labour coalition like that wouldn't surprise me at all

Now you just need to campaign to get people to correct their poll vote if they changed their mind.
