undecided voter here but only between labour and the greens with a very slim chance of internet/mana getting a look in. prob greens though because i've been dealing with a few of their people a bit over the last couple of years and they've been awesome.

Internet-Mana obviously, but with the caveat of seeing their policy (ie they better not turn out to be neo-liberal compromised like the Greens, who would probably be my next choice since I believe Alliance aren't standing).

PS - there should probably be a couple more options:
-Other (leftish)
-Other (rightish)
-Undecided (will maybe post later)
-Not voting because I'm too lazy/alienated/cool
-Not voting as I don't believe in representative democracy and seek change through other means

Zero enthusiasm for the democratic process this year, polling day will come and go with exactly nil input from myself. I think if I have a particularly big night on election eve I'll manage to sleep through the whole deal and may even get a few days into the new term blissfully unaware of the result.

Edit: shout out to TP's last two options

Voting Labour (I think). While I would usually vote Green as I think they are closest to an approximation of my views on various subjects, I'm only really voting to get National out.
+1 for the 'no confidence' option.

Probs also. If I recall correctly, I also did a Labour vote last time, can't believe National got in then, but tbh won't be surprised if they get in again. Lol, we're all gona starve.

Cool poll, ya lefty liberal cunts

Basically not voting is the same as voting for national as far as last election turnout numbers and results show. Ie you are not a cool super edgy anarchist, you are an investment banker cunt.

The way I see it is that the politicians don't really mind if you don't vote. Non-votes aren't counted towards the make-up of parliament and that's all they care about. If only 100 people voted the results would still be used to divide the house among our 'representatives'. It doesn't reduce the number of politicians or the size of government.

Exactly. Vote, dicks. Or you may as well send a written invitation to Johnny to have another term.

Probably Greens for me. Been weighing up between Green and Internet.com/Mana, but I'm not 100% confident that Internet-Mana will get a deal should Labour pull through. I do really like Laila Harre though. And I would like to see her in parliament. If I can be persuaded I may change my mind. Not entirely sure about my candidate vote (Mt Albert). Possibly Shearer. Need to do some research there though.

Sure it doesn't. But the idea that not voting helps national win relies on the assumption that everyone who didn't vote would have voted for the side you support. What if the percentage of non voters last time round got up and voted blue for no other reason than 'oh yeah he's done a good job so far' or 'that's just what mum said to do'. I'm sure you wouldn't prefer that scenario
