Re: John Key and the youth in asia.
spot the people old enough to remember billy t gags from years ago...
seriously though, def agree with the need to revisit our euthanasia laws. family first event is an odd place to say so though, nutbar christians are usually against it.

We must secure the extinction of all people and no future for any children

John Key is relatively "liberal" on these issues. He attends the Big Gay Out, is in favour of reviewing euthanasia and same-sex adoptions, and did not fold to immense public pressure to provide a legal defence for parental smacking.
You will find a surprisingly amount of consensus between John Key and Phil Goff on these issues.
Now if only they actually had the courage to lead policy changes in these areas...
Provision of palliative care is not the issue or the solution. For those suffering from immeasurable and irreversible pain due to a terminal condition, improving palliative care can amount to nothing more than pumping them full of morphine.
People (including medical professionals) who assist in an informed decision to end a life does not deserve the criminal stigma of a murderer.
It absolutely does not send the right message to society to equate compassionate assistance with premeditated killing.

Family First Director Bob McCoskrie said he didn't mind politicians again looking into euthanasia but his organisation did not support it. ''Our argument has always been to improve and make our palliative care world class and then the need for euthanasia is weakened,'' he said. He said the conviction of people who assisted the suicide of their loved ones sent the ''right societal message''.

Key once attended the Big Gay Out and said he didn't believe in gay marriage on the same day. Don't go thinking he has any solid principles apart from doing whatever is necessary to keep NACT in office so they can sell our shit to their mates. You may as well believe in the fucking tooth fairy.
