29 years non parole? Is that true?
I knew Mikhail. We weren't friends per se, but he was my age group in Wellington, we had many mutual friends and acquaintances, and some of the people I grew up with were amongst his best friends. I last saw him a few weeks before his arrest at a mutual friend's house where he'd turned up asking for something, or trying to sell something. I left the room. There was no exchange to be had anyway, and he left. In hindsight it was probably around the time of the murder. His whole world revolved around drugs for as long as I can remember. He was well-known for causing fights, and bringing trouble with him left, right, and centre. Even his friends were scared of his violent outbursts. He had a penchant for bottling people you see. Even before he was arrested it had long-since gotten to the point where people avoided him if possible. Many people speak ill of him, and are glad he's in jail, and for good reason; Personal safety. Let him rot.
Too much violence and death in our scenes in NZ. Anyone directly or indirectly defending that kind of behaviour can gtfo.
+1 for Karl Bulldohk is a GC.
