To be honest, I dont think hes the best example of police brutality you could find. The man was running at the cop with a golf club, and at the time all they had to protect themselves at long range is a gun, and they are told to shoot for the chest, not an extremity to disarm the crim.

In fact, its actually a pretty good ad for tasers.

Oh yeah, the bit where he says "I can't breathe...accckkk...accckkkk" and then gets repeatedly punched in the head while the cop has his leg on his throat....

Seems a totally fair and reasonable response.

do you ever have anything good to say about the police bomber?

i was actually assaulted by a police officer whilst trying to stand up for the rights of a 'punk'. yes there are some idiot police, but there are also some that are there to make a difference.

i think because bomber started this thread, alot of your opinions are one sided, lets say it wasn't him who posted, all you fuckin PUNKS would be tearing a new arsehole on the internet complaining about police brutality.

Did you take the officer to court?

Were you all like, "stop I'm a lawyer"?

nah. i was initially going to lay a complaint but i decided not to for the sake of being able to get diversion, which i was also initially not going to get (had to speak to officer in charge of prosecutions). the police were being real aggro to this punk guy, who was a friend of a friend. smashing his head into a concrete wall. i was drunk and had just finished studying bill of rights in either crim or public law. i wasn't at my most rational so i thought i'd let the police know that what they were doing was unreasonable. it didn't go down well, and i got a black eye and lacerated mouth for my troubles.

i ended up having to write a letter of apology to officer who hit me as part of my diversion. it basically just said 'sorry', and that was it.

Umm, I DON'T think it is a race issue.. that is my point..

If everytime you see a white guy punch a black guy you think 'racism!' you're a fucking twat.

You can play all the supremacy, nazi, imperial and racist cards you want.. but none of it is true, and one day you may grow up enough to realize that.

nah, i know from being around a court that most ppl were in for petty stuff and not white - lots where young.

i didnt see many ppl in for stealing large amounts of money corruption etc.
most ppl get done for petty things, and growing weed and stuff like that.

if sumone is wrongly arrested they can't resist. if the cop if in the wrong all sumone can do is later complain.

im not saying if sumone punches sumone its racist. if they do it and call them a racist name maybe its a lil different. or if sumone punches sumone because they are of a certain race. if NF punching a 'asian' person or sumthing.

many times cops have been caught beating up people of colour and targetting specific people - like black people and mexicans, native american indians and so on.

its a cade of fit on or live in jail. who makes the laws, who wrote them, who enforces them...

nelson mandela spent a life in prison, was it his fault? was he just a dirty crim? should he still be in there?

it is not as simple as criminal or good doer - police right - crims wrong or the other way around.

i know many police overreact and have been known to kill people. many people hate police as well - again that is a judgement that puts all people together. i know from my life there are ok police and real wankers. i make my judgement when i come across them -

prove it - ure right wing, everyone knows that.

but right - u may be right to ure learning and thinking - ure not right to everyone.

how do u know ure right? because u say u are? u havent shown beyond doubt u r, u said some cops get beaten and killed. it can be easily illustrated that black people and others have at times been racially targeted by the police

im not saying anything like all cops are racist. but that racism exists within the police force and within many goverments. spec against indigenous people and often against minorities (ie russia and chechnya, australia and aboriginal peoples and NZ and maori).

racism and violence have been used thru history by one group to control another, it is often used in a way that sounds like 'but i am doing it for ure own good' maybe it is for the good or gain of those doing it, but not those it is done too.
