bad logistics can certainly cause people to freeze to death...

For the last time Phil
SHUT THE FUCK UP!
Slipknot? Who gives a shit what these people think.
And i'd really like to know when you became the authority on punk rock.

And I wish people would stop banding this word crustie around all over the show.

Crusties-Dreadlocked (mainly) English and American travellers who hang around outside gigs and beg, drink special brew and take their dogs to shows. Quite often violent and drug/alcohol addicted.

Refer Doom's "We hate the brew crew" to the tune of Motorheads "We are the road crew" for inspiration.

Crust punks-people who believe in quite a political lifestyle. Quite often vege/vegan and listen to equally political music. Quite often also dreadlocked, spikey and drunks.

I remember that Manuel was quite the oi boy a little while ago...

Please do not lump us into the same box.

Andrew is from Minneapolis. The home of Profane Existence, Extreme Noize Records and an amazing Crust scene.
If you would like to discuss the Crustie thing then please ask someone who knows, don't just jump to conclusions about us and our veiws, lifestyles.

Thanx for listening

Yeah none of you really seem to know what you're talking about when going on about crusties......... I mean, it seems to me that manuel and his group of friends seem to bandy about the term chaos punks more than anything else. Obviously, a chaos punk is completely differnet than a crusty punk. If you really want to know about the origins of crust scruff and I could talk your ear off about it. The only crusties in welly that I know of are Ratboy and Flint from Canada. Manuel is a decent guy, as is all of his mates that I've met. I've always had big problems with sXe dancing, but that doesn't mean I have to start shit over it. I've gotten into fist fights before over it, and looking back on it, it just seems as lame to me to get that pissed off about it as the ninja dancing is in the first place. Also, beating each other up and causing people to bleed is a great way to spread shit like hep C around. So please, can't we all just get along?

Not only that, but it doesn't even make sense.

Yes Ost.
Many things in our community don't make sense to me.
Why do we have to war with people who don't drink/take drugs?
Good on them I say. I am an alcoholic and I wish I had never picked up that first bottle.
Give people a break. How can people expect the same respect when they act with none?
I feel really sorry for our mates in Welly having to deal with this when they have gone to all the trouble to organise shows.
Fighting/fuckwits=no more shows.
I have seen it in the past and if these people want to also see it first hand they will keep acting like fuckwits.
And then what happens? Everyone complains that thre are no more shows?

Scruff,
I can't be bothered checking to see if I called the Wellington guys crusties, if I did, it was out of my ignorance. I can honestly say that I didn't (and don't) know what a crust-punk was, it's just a term I throw around I guess. I'll try and be more careful with the term in future, I know how anoying it can get when your personal beliefs/culture/whatever get tied to other people that you're not associated with.

As for the dancing, I call it dancing, or kickboxing dancing if I'm needed to be specific, I've heard a lot of names thrown around, however something that cool hardly needs a name, huh?

"what the hell it isnt sXe dancing cuz not only sXers dance like that

My mistake, I've always had a problem with "HC" dancing, but then again hardcore is such a generic fucking term it voids it out. You can go to thrashfest and not run into anything like that. I think it's fucking lame, most of the "hardcore" community where I come from thinks its fucking lame, not to say anything about you're belifes, or people over here. I've got a lot of problems with gigs in general, that's why I don't really go to them anymore.

"wat teh hell is ur problem scruff? i couldnt care less wat a bunch of posers call themselves...."
So what do you call yourself anyways?

Phil, for the love of Jobe I was talking about you referring to Slipknot and their obvious love of us...
No you didn't say the "C" word and that wasn't my point.

To the person who was so informed about our personal hygiene, I think you are also putting everyone in a box too.

My house is probably cleaner than your parents house and I bathe daily. Not bathing is something I hate and I agree with you about trying to be serious to strangers when they want to run screaming from you.

Phil, let's just have an arm wrestle and get this over with...

i actually dislike slipknot intensely, i dont think they are punk, or h/c or anything other than mainstream representatives of death metal, like good charlote is the pop version aimed at the punk demographic...

altho slipknot have some talented members (hard not 2 when uve got a fuckin soccer team)

so dont blame me that the munters on this board decided 2 fill up a few pages discussing their merits and attributes

people = shit

at least they got something right.

oh and i have skinny girl arms... id wrestle xsweiny tho

whos slipknot

aren't they nu metal, for kids who'd never admit to being nu metal, for the tuff nu metal kids, who wear bike chains on their wallets instead of normal chains, those guys are tuff alright

at the hamilton hatebreed show I'd never seen so many wanna be tuff nu metal kids it was awesome

hey you's should all stop dissing slipknot... they wear cool overalls and scary masks ;)

but I would watch their new DVD if I were given the chance, just for the fact that it would be a HUGE show, captured on 20 cameras (including 9 mask cams, for the multi angle fans that just can't bring themselves to rent porn ;) )

It would make for a good spectacle, if not spectacular music...

They say that dancing is a way of life
And all the untough had better think twice
Well I'm not going to take it sitting down anymore
It's time that we took back the dance floor

Let's hear it for the boy who'll say
"Get this macho tough guy shit away"
The scene is just like a small town
And we don't want your kind around

If we sit back and blindly follow the crowd
There will soon be no dancing allowed
And I think we all know there is no excuse
Did we learn nothing from Footloose?

I want to see you dance without the violence

I'm assuming by 'one' you mean show... This Night Creeps are doing their cd release thang at the Irish Society Hall on the 29th... There shouldn't be any violence as This Night Creeps are all emo and shit, so at most there might be some kids crying in a corner...

nah, this show will be all good and everybody should attend as... well, as it will be good and stuff... (I could work in advertising)
