all i know about brain grenade was they were an old band from the early nineties or something, and they supported the Varukers at the Nelson gig... i'm not a huge fan of the west coast, too many racists/hicks. ... looks like it was cooler back in the old days.

You told me generally what it was like when you lived down there but not this kind of detail. Looking forward to more :)

I'm not a huge fan myself, and it always has been full of racists and hicks. Thats why I got out. Some of my mates were pretty switched on, but there were some real idiots as well.

i wonder if my fucked up druggie story will be worth telling to the next generation of dropkicks

but for most of my youth i was just another stoner who incidentally played stuff like nailbomb, rancid and crass on his stereo

so i doubt there will be a dedicated group of youngsters lapping up my fucked up life event catalogue.

i do have some pretty funny stories, but most of them have nothing to do with punk, just teenage petty criminal drug use and all that.

most times when i tell my stories to people a few years younger they look at me like im a nutjob

Yeah, that part in Young Guns 2 (?) when he gets the knife in his arm and pulls it out was wicked.

Nope, can't say I do...

Might recognise them but I doubt it. When I lived in CHCH I mostly hung round with North Islanders that I knew from AK and HAM.
