The T-Skins used to make me drink vast amounts of alcohol and make me listen to punk rock...bastards. I'd make them smoke my cigarettes as payback.

'yeah smoke that cigarette, 6 minutes off your life that is....'

actually coming onto this forum has given me some flashbacks. i sniffed a lot of CRC Engine start in 87 and 88 and pwoar it's good stuff.

I got hooked into it at Cotteril street cos Magpie liked sniffing CRC (it has ether in it) and her and i used to do it together...ya know walk around with you sniff rag oblivious to the reek that the CRC put out.

Once i got so out of it on CRC i was listening to music with Max (hes still around btw and still dero) and i honestly thought i was getting sucked into the speakers.

another time i got so out of it on the ol engine start i was sure i was johnny rotten, that was when me jef and Kevin rock went and stayed in some hutts on Mt Egmont. Amber may have been there too not sure....hehe must have burnt too many brain cells.

I sniffed it a fair bit in my flat at 90 Salisbury st (its still there too: family house now) and me and max we in cahoots.

You see Max sniffed so much he was kinda barred from the local Gas Station so he roped me into going and getting it for him. in return i got my fair share, max also showed me how to extract the ether from the can (pM for details all you junkies out there...)

When i moved to tariki i got jef into sniffing it couple of times too. Used to walk down to the local gas station in tariki and buy a can of crc engine start, "ummm my engine isnt working..."

I kept saying that every time i went down to that gasser "ummm my engine isnt working" I wonder if he ever suspected anything

another good time i remember on engine start was the day i got napalm deaths first LP "Scum" I got it as soon as it hit the shops later on in 87 and then went and scored a can of crc and went over to my mate Phils place.

Phil was over his punk buzz by then but hey to his credit he attended the Conflict gig that is the b side on the Conflict lp "Increase the pressure" cool huh so every time you listen to that just think: phil was there pogoing around :P

anyhow i digress...

So yeah got racked up on the engine start and threw on "scum" on the record player and woooooooyeeeeehhh this is insane shit!

Honestly, back then when Naplam Death came out there was nothing remotely as extreme as them around: they blew people away inc me! I was the perfect sniffing music i tell ya.

well i stopped sniffing maybe in early 89 or was in late 88 who know and im glad i did. max who i brought the cans for still sniffs to this day and he is a wreck and homeless. im amazed hes even alive.

i tried glue a couple of times but compared to ether it just didnt rank im afraid: i was way too sophisticated for glue

now im just addicted to drinking Pepsi max. My record is 7.5 litres in a day I tell you i was right off my dial on caffine and awake two days it was great.

Ok time for some toast....

Had dinner with Lentil last night, took some photo albums round... she was just trying to get my stories out of me, cos I'm too slow on here. Heh heh.

Hey Slammy, had Sharon round today riding our horses. Was wicked, we looked thru the photos of Liardet St...reminesing about the good old days. THats all we old dudes seem to do these days.

Anyway, I'm off down south tomorrow. Christchurch for the night and then over to good old Greymouth... Maybe I'll get a hiding for all the slanderous stuff I've been saying on here. I'll let you know how it goes. 8O
