RIP

I only knew of Bryce through school (year above me) and he used to play at my league club...I didn't know him personally, but what a truely devastating and tragic end to three young lives. My deepest sympathies to all his family and friends in this hard time.

I meet Bryce a handful of times over the last 7years and didn't know him well. I know he was a legend with a skateboard and rugby ball.
He was really happy everytime I saw him, and his daughter always wanted to be by his side.
A great loss, greatly missed, it fucking sux.

Rest In Peace

Hope all friends and family are alright

I just got the news yesterday from a friend...I just cant believe that happened to them.....
I didn't really new brice but phily was around many times when I was living in auckland and her sister amy gave me a place to crash. I remember the second night I arrived in new zealand and I didnt knew anyone - amy showed me around and we went to brices and philys place to watch after mercedes.
I never really hang out with them afterwards but they were always around, especially phily and mercedes - but I know that my friends and as far as I know anyone within the scene loved that family - I can only imagine how hard it must be for them right now.
my condolences go out t to their friends and families and especially philys sister amy!!!

I knew phillipa from her days down here. I feel lucky and proud to have a person as happy and loving as her touch my life.

Their family will be dearly missed. Its comforting to know that memorys of them are held in hundreds of peoples hearts, from all different walks of life, this was clearly demonstrated by the turnout at their funeral.

RIP Phillipa, your beautiful baby Mercedes, and partner Bryce.

Jacquie made some good points that some people might like to read...

Brownie wrote:It's great to see so many heartfelt posts on this topic.
It is sad, and we all feel it, even if we didn't know Bryce, Phillipa and Mercedes personally.

The thing about the shock of grief is that it really brings people together.
The small stuff doesn't matter anymore. Reading this topic makes me feel that.
Family and friends are highlighted and it brings about a new appreciation for what we have in our own lives.
We look at eachother differently thinking, 'is this the last time I'll see you..' ?

Maybe what this is teaching us is to tell people, show our friends we love them, not to waste time on petty things. Arguments over $3 and who has the best shoes.

I like to think of people that have 'passed over' as happy.
They are now in the next phase and they are loving it.
I'm sure there are ramps in heaven!

Lots of people believe that death isn't the end, it's just the next step.
Life is an ongoing adventure. I like to think that.

When you feel sad about missing your freind, imagine he is smiling at you, and he is happy and calm and enjoying where he is now.

I'm sure you will see him again.
