I haven't heard it all yet. I don't like the new cut of She Who Cannot... but there's a few songs that sound freaking faaaaaaaantastic. might get it tomorrow.

My favourite track is High Above The Streets. It's like, old school guitars with a "nu" or emo approach to the vocals. Haha.. I'm gonna get the bash now.

I like it. My favourite tunes are Burning Magdalene and La Vita Et Bella.

There's a couple of really beautiful parts on the CD, like near the end of La Vita Et Bella, where this choir-sounding melody kicks in below the screaming.

It must have been hard for Leon, having to come in and write a whole bunch of new vocal parts straight of the bat. I think the time constraint shows a bit, but it's still one heck of an effort. The recording sounds phat.

Mad props to them and I hope this CD gets exposure to a lot of people.

I recently bought a copy of the album and it has not left my CD player since! I guess my favourite thing about the album is all of the musical layers that they've managed to capture on the recording, it all flows really nicely, especially on the track "Burning Magdelene" with the backing vocals. The dual guitar work is also a real treat! kind of reminds me of Iron Maiden in some places. Me thinks a few bands could learn a trick or two from these kids....

spot on, they are one of the main influences, a lot of dave murray sounding harmonies in there.
I think the album is excellent, all the songs are musically interesting and creative, never find myself skipping tracks like ya do with typical monotonous hardcore :-p

i also read on here that their sound is commerical? some of the riffs trajan wrote on the album, he was playing 10 years ago on the streets of onehunga. i dont really think they are soley in it for any commerical $$$ gain.

make some vids for la vita and angels&locusts!

This CD hasn't left the CD player since I got it. I am well impressed. :D These boys have improved sooo much since I first saw them play a show. I think the songs show a great depth that bare repeated listening. Good production too.
My current fav is She who cannot be killed...
I wanna see videos!
And if by 'commercial' it means you can picture these songs being performed in a stadium, then sure, why not? Almost every one is an epic.

Nice artwork too.

Are CBW selling these at shows? Silly question, right? I'll pick one up soon when I'm back in the New Land of Z :)

cbw has 2 wicked guitarists, i'll say that much. the songs and stuff aren't really my thing.but i can appreciate musicianship. trajan and ben are mean on guitars. i dunno the new vox name but i think hes not too bad at all.

certainly think they'd do better off shore as a band. as there's not the scene long term here for thaty style of music. but there's plenty of bands makin it overseas and these guys play fairly tight and clean live.

pay them out all you want, seriously, i doubt they'd give a fuck anyway

this cd is awesome!!!!!! i really like it. i dont see why they have gotten so much hassles on here. their musicianship seems to be pretty top notch and like yvon says they have a very epic feel to them.

think it could be my fave nz hardcore/punk/whatever release ever.

i wonder how a 'warpath are fucking crap' comment would go down on a warpath cd review.

Yeah.. the opinion of these small, narrow minded people matters not to me my son. I was forced to throw out my entire hardcore collection last night... the hardcore police got word through this forum that dylan knuckles thinks my band is shit and they stripped me of my ranking (as low as it was)

Never mind.
