What load of shit. You may not like Antagonist but shows were definately better when they lived here. We used to get 150 kids to most AA shows back then now you'd be lucky to get 80. Plus when they lived here all the fuckin hippy kids who think they're so super fuckin alternative now didn't have their heads shoved so far up there asses they can't get them out, sure they were a little clueless but it was better than now. I think what you meant to say was the best thing about hamilton is since antags moved away more and more kids are acting like me.

That its better when you get twice the amount of kids to shows, because at least they can be exposed to some good bands while theyre there. If they dont turn up, they dont get exposed to shit.

Louckes probably just a bit miffed because PSI were so fucking awful, almost noone wanted to see them.

80 is pushing it, i think.

But other than that, strangely enough, I agree with most of this post. A little too hard on the 'hippy kids' maybe - but I think thats forgivable due to the reasonableness of the rest of it.

John: Its in the past, I'm over it. Trying my best to be mature and hold myself back. (I think I'm not doing too bad a job on that front - otherwise this thread could well already be 10 pages of hate by now)

Aidan: Perhaps should be "...all your, and other people's, personal dramas..." (automatic preview function is rad)

Agreed. Though when I tried to organise more cross genre shows most the audience didn't even give them a look in. But that "open minds" debate is happening in another thread.

I started going to shows because of Hardcore. I fairly quickly graduated to other styles as well, but then I've always had a wide musical taste. (It didn't harm that TNC / Electric Shakedown / Bludgers / Ulcerate often played "Hardcore" shows too)

Most of the kids wont want to see some band thats not the music they usually like, but some might, and those some kids are the ones that hang about in the scene years afterwards.
