Last time I saw this was on TVNZ's 25th Anniversary celebrations in 1985. Really surprised to see that it's resurfaced on youtube. This WOULD NOT get screened on TV today. You need to watch till about just after halfway through to see why.
Using a character who is a racist to make fun of racism seems perfectly ok to me.... and the black characters are smarter to. It's mainly the use of racial invective that is controversial today, though the scene where Bill decides to do a cannibal impression jarred as well. Till Death Us Do Part on steroids.
Fairly entertaining. It reminded me of women being referred to as 'furniture' in Soylent Green, except this dystopian nightmare actually happened/happens.
