On that note, the Babadook is really good.
Ozzie actors (or just accents) no idea if it's Australian made

The director Ted Kotcheff is Canadian, the main actors Gary Bond and Donald Pleasance were English. (mixed use of tenses is deliberate). The film was popular on the festival circuit but Australians didn't like it, it's a rather unflattering portrayal after all. The kangaroo hunting scenes are hard to watch, apparently they actually toned them down. Great performance from legendary character actor Chips Rafferty as local cop Jock Crawford, he died shortly after the film was released.

I was 100% on the side of the babadook. Fuck that little kid, he was an asshole.
