I think the good thing about these last couple of seasons is they don't "re-boot" like the first few seasons did.

Like, if you watch Season 1, you could skip to Season 6 or so and not have missed a thing. Your only question would be, "Oh, he has a kid now?"

But with Deb knowing and trying to deal with it, the programme has actually PROGRESSED for the first time. The plot was always, "Someone finds out about Dexter's secret, he deals with them, everything's back to normal." It can't be that anymore, which adds a bit of unpredictability.

Psycho grandma consultant lady is probably the worst actor I've seen in my entire life. Like "Oh hey yeah, nah I think we have enough actors, we could use a production assistant for 48 hrs though I guess" levels of bad.

Just seems a bit obvious from that episode too. Hopefully it fleshes out in a good way.

Sceptical from the first episode, but the second is really putting it all into place, and it looks as though it'll be a great season.

if they give dex emotions and have him live happy ever after with hannah like it's looking like it's going right now, i feel like i'm gonna owe it to humanity to stalk and serial kill the whole fucking production team, all them actors, lighting assistants, key grips, best boys, recording mixers.... the whole fucking lot of em

just sayin'

This post was supposed to go in this thread at the start of the week but I had a senior moment and wrote it in the Breaking Bad thread. *shrug*

Okay so.. I was pretty disappointed with this season so far. I kinda got the impression they'd try to finish a bunch of storylines in as little time as possible.
Then this week's episode came out.
Nice. Pretty curious to see how it plays out now.
I like that neighbour girl's bf ended up being old lady's son. Didn't see that coming.
There better not be a happy Argentina ending. That would be whack as fuck.

Could have been worse but I hate open-ended shit. I think I would've been happier if he'd died in the storm. I just don't know. :(

Yeah pretty odd ending, retiring with a sweet rack of flannel...

It was kinda cool him leaving the kid and missus though, showed at the end of the day still zero fucks given.

Only just got around to watching this. They went to great lengths to build the positive side of his character just so they could tear it down at the end. Not very clever. Would rather Dexter made it to Argentina and they showed what kind of burden on Harrison's life it was to have two serial killers for parents instead of one. Could've been up there with The Brady Bunch.

Either that or publicly out him as the Butcher. For all that's happened in the show it's like it didn't really get anywhere. Had some fun along the way, though.
