I dug how the opening getaway scene was filmed mostly from inside the car. Bit of a different approach.

I thought he was a pretty cool character. It was like he was straight out of a 70s Eastwood or McQueen flick. Better than some dick making wisecracks all the time like most action films.

there were too many times where the blank facial expression could of been replaced by dialogue.. pretty much every scene involving him and the girl.. or him and someone important (like the mob boss, who asked him questions and he couldnt even respond). it didnt come off well at all.

I didn't even notice he didn't talk much. However the staring out the window thing got a little trite.

All in all a good but fairly lackluster film. Overhyped, the gritty 'art' film bogstandards 'get' to make them sound artier (Fight Club).

The soundtrack was way too on the nose, the 80's nose.

Scorpion needs to get across river, asks frog if he can ride his back. From is all "nah bro, you'll sting me while we're half way over" but the scorpion is all "nah then we'd both drown, that would be stupid". Frog is like "yeah true dat" and the scorpion hops on.

Half way across the frog is all "ow what the fuck" and looks at the scorpion who has just stung him. The frog is all "what did you do that for? Now i'll die and you'll drown" but all the scorpion can say is "I'm sorry, it's just what I do".

the driver's always does good deeds....and he trys not too... but he is a good deed person so he does more good deeds?

(which in the movie is a bad move?)
