Bit bummed that it looks like it's going even further away from the 'books', but on the other hand - looks fuckin great and at least it'll all be fresh.

Can't wait for this to start. Really enjoyed the last season after initially being reluctant to watch it.

Possible spoiler for those that haven't read the comics

that being said, that was totally Hershel's farm at the end. and they were carrying Carl there so I presume they go there for the same reason. but i wonder if its still from being shot when out hunting or what

Watched the premier episode of season 2 last night.

Some intense parts, emotion to the max, lots of moaning bitches.

9/10

Looking forward to the rest of the season

Some good scenes, but it was a pretty average episode, I thought. HATED the badly-written expository monologues, like Rick on the walkie-talkie at the start and then people talking to Jesus.

Also couldn't believe how stupid this group of previously pretty savvy survivors were when confronted with an enormous load of corpse-filled cars. "Looks good. Let's all split up and wander around. Hey, why not let the kids go play in the cars, too?"

show is crap. too many stupid decisions and generally badly written and acted. if it's anything like last season it will just get worse as it goes. so, i'm out.

It wasn't really, except for the zombies, which have since lost their novelty value I suppose.

So general consensus is that I shouldn't bother? One less show to watch is actually pretty relieving.

It was a criticism of the comics - that they became a soap opera with zombies in the background. But that's not really my problem with the TV series...it's just how incredibly unlikeable the characters are. How are we supposed to feel any kind of tension over them when we don't give a shit whether they live or get turned into zombie chow.

And the big speeches are wearing thin fast.

It's on borrowed time for me - I'll give it a couple more episodes, but mostly because I know what's in the barn...

I just caught the latest ep. The ending fucking blew my mind. Won't spoil for those who have not seen it yet, but worth the wait.

So they have a shit season, one good episode just before the hiatus and you're all "FUCK YEAH!" ?

Guess the writing staff aren't that good, but they sure are smart.

Aidan, it's not like that, nobody is saying this is suddenly the best thing on TV, but I reckon that episode earned it a stay of execution.

Guess we'll see how the rest of the second season pans out. I imagine it can keep going based on the strength of "WHOA ZOMBIES" alone.

Interesting he's still around considering how early on he got cooked in the comics.

It'll happen before the end of the season I reckon. He's starting to fully flip out.

What's the deal with it not being back on till Feb?

I prefer Shane to Lori. At least he's an interesting character, she just sits around and moans and complains ("Oh, you're saving my son, but you're only a vet? You suck!") and yet we're supposed to believe these guys are fighting over her. Feed her to the nearest zombie.

I hope Lori's baby is the result of a zombie rape and she dies at birth.

Daryl and Shane should have a spin off where the take ass and kick names.

^^^ It is interesting that the most interesting characters were either already dead in the comic or didn't exist.
