Picked this up on BD the other week, holy fuck yeah.

Been waiting for ages to rewatch it and peep all the subtleties.

The 'Ultimate Edition' of this - due out aronud the end of the year, I think - looks pretty mental. Far more extras on its Blu-Ray equivalent than the DVD, too. I think the DVD version requires 5 discs or something...

Am I the only person who DOESN'T want the Tales of the Black Freighter stuff interleaved in it? I didn't like that part of the comic and was stoked it wasn't in the movie. A heavy-handed allegory of the main plot didn't really work for me in the comic at all...

So maybe the Director's Cut might be the version for me, rather than the Ultimate Cut or whatever the fuck the triple-dip version is called.

I've heard that this "Super-Directors-Ultimate Cut Edition" is gunna have like 1hour+ more added to the film.

"the world will stand up and shout save us and I will whisper, no" - best line in the whole movie

Nope best line in the movie was
"What you dont understand is im not locked in here with you. Youre locked in here with me."

nah they are weaving it with dialogue apparently... like with diff characters finishing off each other's sentences etc

if that makes sense

the animated black freighter was pretty not-great in my opinion. I enjoyed it in the book, but the film just didn't have the right feeling.... I put a large part of the blame on Gerald Butlers narration... He's a fine actor, but wasn't the right choice imo

I thought Black Freighter was dope as fuck. Seriously though Watchmen on BD is fucking ace... so, so good.

Best line imo, 'Yeah... human bean juice'
