Think the story from Dead Space with the pacing of Cube, pretty cool.
I guess you really need to ask yourself... What Would Graeme Do?

What? Remake? Is the other one worth watching, because I would be annoyed if there was another version of a film this retarded out there.

Last House on Dead End Street
One of the 'video nasties' banned in the UK in the mid-80s, this dodgy flick is pretty bad by any definition, but the grainy video quality and harrowing score make it uncomfortable viewing. The story - such that it is - is about a petty crim who decides to make movies for rich perverts...which quickly become obvious as being snuff films.

Image
Flower of Flesh and Blood
The most notorious of the infamous Guinea Pig films, this flick is probably best known for Charlie Sheen mistaking it as snuff and bringing the FBI in to investigate it. Although someone on here had the 'eyeball spooning' moment as their avatar for a bit. It's little more than an SFX showreel as its plotless scenario is a nutter in a samurai helmet dismembering and disembowelling a woman. Of course, Japanese censorship being what it is, they go to extremes to avoid nudity - you don't see the woman's genitals because her pulled out guts cover them. Go figure.

Twilight. Not as terrible as you might think. Still suprised that it's so popular. Wouldn't be suprised if it was a cult classic amongst loner emo type girls, but not popularity that it's got.

I saw Twilight. Thought it was a really dull, watered-down version of Kathryn Bigelow's Near Dark.

My last watch was this ol' classic, starring Auckland-raised Dyanne Thorne:

Image
Ilsa: She-Wolf of the SS
Ilsa is the Commandant at the notorious Medical Camp 9, leading Nazi experiments on people. Well, actually mostly on naked nubile girls with big tits using such charming devices as an electrified dildo. When she isn't fucking then castrating the male prisoners, that is.

Bit wobbly and not as shocking as it probably was on first release in the mid-70s, it's more of an oddity than anything else. Especially given the sets are all-too recognisable as the ones from Hogan's Heroes.

All I can recall about Ilsa are the electric dildos. I saw it about 6 years ago (so can't remember it too well) but remember having similar thoughts to you about it being more shocking for the time. Dyanne Thorne is awesome though she looks great.

And it's weird that it isn't banned here considering Love Camp 7 still is. Well I am pretty sure Ilsa is not banned here becuase I saw a copy in Real Greedy in Dunedin a few years back.

Re-watched The Wire season 5. TV has never made me cry before. This season did seem a little too epic compared to previous seasons, but it was a great season and I love the fact that they don't let characters get in the way of story. Some harsh shit happened this season that was hard to stomach for me anyway, can't wait for Treme (about musicians in New Orleans).

Veronica Mars S1 - Finished this the other night, Solid last episodes wasn't expecting the reveal. This season was excellent.

Le Cercle Rouge - French Crime film, Amazing long robbery scene shows everything they do. Overall a solid film but the end seemed a little rushed.

Zombieland - Thought this was pretty decent and Entertaining, a few facepalm moments. Cameo was pretty epic.

Zack and Miri make a Porno - Thought this was pretty good, if a little (alot) predictable. Alright, fuck you, i kinda like some rom coms. I'm not ashamed. Not my favourite Kevin Smith film, but definitely a few genuine laughs.

Bruno - Really curious to know how much of this was staged. Some of the shit he does/gets away with is actually fucking amazing. Still, it's exactly the same set up as Borat in nearly every single way. It's mainly just amazing the balls he has to put himself into some of these situations.

Anvil - The Story of Anvil - Wow. This was super depressing, but at the same time ten times cooler than Some Kind of Monster. They may not have gotten the credit they deserved, but at least they're still having fun doing what they love and hopefully they'll see some of that money back one of these days.

Role Models - Paul Rudd and the guy who played Stiffler. Not as good as most of the Seth Rogen and co. shit that's been coming out recently, but I like Paul Rudd so I found the movie tolerable enough, if forgettable. Made me feel sappy.

Watchmen - Yeah. Pretty much what I expected. Not a bad adaption, but I just don't really care much. It was good enough as a comic and the problems I had with the film are enough for me to not bother watching it again by choice.

Also watched a bunch of Sout Park episodes and Robot Chicken. Had never seen RC before, it's pretty hilarious. Do non-geeks get into it? Seems to be pretty geekcentric.

The Boat that Rocked aka. Pirate Radio - Thought this was fun, in a similar vein to something like...fuck...what's that other movie with Philip Seymour Hoffman? Almost Famous? I guess it's just about a similar era and all that...Anyway, I kinda wish it hadn't been so long, but that's only because it's 4am. Otherwise, I recommend it to people who enjoy this kind of thing (lighthearted comedy blabla, it's early, fuck off).

X-men Origins: Wolverine. (the leaked version)- Good movie! - I'm not really a superhero comics fan - but I like some of the movies. Little disappointing it was a the leaked version (a heap of the CGI is incomplete) - quite interesting at the same time.

When there are probably a few decent DVDRIPs up now why would you bother watching the incomplete leaked version?

King of California - Rewatched this, really sweet little movie. Treasure hunting in California.

Newtown Killers - Picked it out from the reviews on the box, never heard of it before (last time we did this we got [REC] so it was worth a shot) ended up being rubbish. No intensity or Tension in any of the scenes. couldn't care less about any of the characters.

Just Picked up Generation Kill for my birthday as well. Half way through, Really enjoying it, just a bit confused about the chain of command but i think its starting to make sense.

I didn't download it - I leeched it off my bros computer along with a bunch of other stuff.

I watchd Zombieland a while back. Good zombie flick. Is that the state of Zombie films though? They aren't meant to be serious anymore?
