Would be interested in how many people actually paid, or was the entire crowd on the VIP list?

yeh, well you obviously know nothing about running a show guy, theres a lot of costs involved like petrol and overheads, plus do you expect talented musicians to work for free?
maybe you should watch some of my good friend ross mcdougals videos on how to be a rock star, might give you an idea of how this industry works

And we're not just talking about softly blowing wind on the engine levels of petrol either. They've gotta tow that hired horse float for all the guitars and desktop PCs they're bringing.

I've paid $20+ for locals once in a while, though mostly established acts from the 80s etc. I reckon it's not too bad for such a rare explosion of entertainment.

Was imagining j bolo having to catch the bus to auckland, trying to load up his whole desktop pc, crt monitor, desk, all his guitars, massive pedal board, plastic bag full of masks and stage clothes.
sounded like it was hard work getting from the hutt to valhalla last show, so wonder how this will work out.

how many payers you reckon? my guess would be either zero or one, and im guessing the one would probably be deadkid.

I'd fly over from Brisbane in exchange for a used mask but only if it was really stinky.

HI everybody.
I'm a little bit late to the forum but here I am.
I understand people's frustrations over the $20 tickets, and the price has since been brought back down to $10.00, but there were good intentions.
All that aside though I hope you guys enjoy coming along to the show in Auckland and not only checking out Ivy Blue- but J Solo Project, Invasion of Piracy, and AcidMorph who are all really cool bands that can kick arse.
The only real additional thing to say right now is that I will be playing with a 'guest guitarist' while I wait to see a specialist in December regarding my wrist otherwise it's business as usual for Ivy Blue (and no, Strangers In The Night won't be played on this show but a couple of other songs will be slipping back in).

Hope all are well, see you in a couple of weeks.

Really intrigued as to what the good intentions of charging $20 for a show were...?

How to bully the little guy is the only thing you learn in Economics. At least I'm fairly sure Jonky doesn't allow Marxism in the curriculum.

I'm fully ordering the pillow case. It'll creep the missus the fuck out so will most likely "go missing off the washing line".
