Pennywise would be a laugh, Alkaline Trio would be fun and Sommerset would be awesome...but LTJ were shitballs last time they were here and I can't imagine they've gotten better over time.

ive seen LTJ a bunch of times in the last 10 years and ive always found them to be a really good live band so im curious as to why the sucked at the galatos show (i wasnt there). they've slowed down a bit now and arent as energetic as they once were, but in 2003 they were in their prime, and the setlist was 90% hello rockview.. must have had an off night / weekend

Seeing them live made it really apparent that they were just a pop punk band with horns, and the horns were kinda the only thing that set them apart. Except there were a few songs where the horn section sat off stage because there weren't any parps for those songs.

Also they got a random guy and girl on stage to pash, pretty cringey and gross.

I still like listening to hello rockview

It was after Borders and Boundaries or maybe just after they released Anthem (and neither of those albums are any good imo). The brass players sat down for a lot of songs because they weren't playing, a bunch of it was just generic pop punk or rock stuff instead of the ska of Hello Rockview. Was just super disappointing all round, and I was really into LTJ at the time so was super surprised at how bad a lot of the setlist was.

Pretty stoked to see all these bands in one place for $80. Pennywise will be predictable fun, LTJ will be nostaglic (with horns hopefully) and Sommerset will ensure I am there early...and pre-load.

I'm pretty sure they did that at Warped T our a few years back too, after giving the guy a mohawk on stage. Was never into them but my ex was in a big way.

Never been into Alkaline Trio either and seen Pennywise enough times to not really care either way, but Sommerset almost makes it worth it.
