Billy Bragg NZ tour

Postby Tartanperil » Fri Aug 03, 2012 12:38 pm

NZ Herald wrote:Billy Bragg is coming to New Zealand for four shows - including a Christchurch earthquake benefit gig.

Bragg's Ain't Nobody That Can Sing Like Me shows will be split into two parts: The first a tribute to the songs of Woody Guthrie, the second a greatest hits set of Bragg's own songs.

Bragg performs at the Auckland Town Hall on October 12, Wellington's Opera House on October 13 and the Otago Girls Auditorium on October 14.

Details for a Christchurch earthquake benefit show are yet to be announced.

Tickets are on sale now.

Yeah, I had the impression there'd be a Chch gig. If not, welcome to the life of a Dunednite - we almost always have to travel up to Chch see lots of decent gigs. You can share our pain for a couple of years. :)

Anyway, if you've got a student id use it for this gig tix are $75! ($55 student). I think he must have god opening for him.

Not at all, Woody's got great lyrics and attitude (just a bit slow to sit through a lot of imho).

But what would I know?
