I might be wrong, but I thought that was a dig at the people involved in kitten attack, that if they complained about t shirts then people might complain about their food and have that banned or whatever.

Well, insert a bunch of marginally older kids 'picking up change' between the band and the the little ones on the seats....

Hardcore's mostly about agendas. Like maintaining the basketball singlet as the crux of male casual fashion. Oh, and sweating amongst strangers without fear of disdain.

xCaptainx wrote:So congrats whoever you are. I'm sure you'll be pleased as punch that you got your way, in a scene you dont contribute or participate with in any way, shape or form. And considering you'll probably not go to smackdown anyway, it seems like a hollow victory. But yeah, you got your way, that's all that matters huh? You're very lucky you didnt completely ruin smackdown for everyone. And I'm sure if you did, you certainly wouldnt accept liability for any lost investment/costs associated with Smackdown huh?

xCaptainx wrote:And given that generally the council simply dont care, they could have just as easily gone 'well fuckit, we shouldnt give this 'hamtown smackdown' fest any hirage at all, ever'

It would have been a shame to see...what....7-8 years now of hard work involved with such an annual event ruined by the actions of someone who simply didnt get their way. Tell you what, if you feel so strongly about Smackdown, or ANY hardcore show in fact, GET INVOLVED. Help out, pay some bills, help promote it or play in a band. And if you dont like something, you have every right to protest or petition. Heck on the straight edge forum there was discussed of t-shirt prints in retaliation of this print. THat's a brilliant idea. What better way to challenge free speech; by using the same medium! But going over the head of the hardcore scene and all involved and doing actions like this is not only low, but dangerously close to destroying the hard work of people who have absolutely no involvement in your agenda, or rex's actions.

Maybe next time there is a fixed gear get together that we're not invited to, we should ring the council and advise of a dangerous, out of control bike gang violating road code standards and acceptable build standards for bicycles. Not to mention any event permits they didnt apply for? I'm sure we could find a few bylaws, haha. And I'M JOKING by the way.

good posts and agree

None of you have any idea at all.

can you fuckin idiots start spelling SMAKDOWN correctly please? I don't see no C up in that shit.

So it's the last Bricks show and obviously I was gonna design some sweet merch to try and make some money out of the situation. I had this idea for this guy who has like a brick for a penis and he's ramming it down some manga style asian girls throat just obliterating her face. But then I couldn't be bothered with the hastle that would follow from such a design, this being a family event and all, so I did this one instead:

If you like it, feel free to buy one on the night. If you don't like it, you are not obliged to make a purchase, but please don't tell the council that you don't like it though as I don't wanna spend Smakdown selling tees out of the boot of my Camri.

If this shirt doesn't come in 2xl I will interpret that as body fascism and be giving the HRC a call.
