Bad Religion & Social Distortion 15/2/23

Postby Craig_Bastard » Sat Aug 27, 2022 5:07 am

How strict is the R18 thing going to be?
my 16 y.o really wants to go, and I want to take him.

Seeing how it's at a huge venue not a pub, you'd think there would be all-ages with a wristband for drinkers?

Tell the organizers, and the band. Can't be too late.

What a great band, that lyric "I'm a 21st century digital boy, I don't know how to live but I've got a lot of toys" was like they saw the internet coming.

I'd have thought Bad Religion and Social Distortion would be fairly receptive to making their shows all ages. talk to the organizers.

Venue sponsored by alcohol bullshit so I wouldn't be hopeful. The Trusts Arena would get asked the same question 100s of times for every concert, and if it could've been all ages they probably would've made it so in the first place. Worst thing would be if you get the all clear in advance and then some manager at the venue has a power trip on the day and turns your son away. Unless he can start growing a beard now in preparation. :baton:

^^^ Exactly what I was thinking on all points mentioned.

Had tix to the last B.R show he wanted to go to, then they changed the venue, luckily the promoters gave me a refund.

I was recently sent away again with Junior. The 16 were not enough because there was smoking, although the concert was in the courtyard.
Actually sucks when a parent is there

Somehow they're still managing to put a show on in Auckland, but it's moved to The Powerstation given The Trusts Arena is being used as a Civil Defence emergency centre. Crazy times for tours!
