Spring Cleaning

Postby Lurch » Fri Jul 30, 2010 12:00 pm

Trying to declutter. Koha would be appreciated if you can afford it: need to justify my collection/hording ability somehow. I'm in Fearfeild, Hamilton.

2 x 25L plastic brew barrels
1 x 50L plastic brew barrel

Over 3 dozen 750mL Coopers bottles
Over a dozen dozen 750mL green Steinlager bottles
Possibly some ABC bottles in the near future: will have to do some evaluating.

A couple of heaters - a weird submurgable one, and a insulated plywood box / desk light DYI jobby.

A few manual cappers too I'm sure.

Portable (suitcase) record player. Needs repair: scumbags in the Op Shop before me managed to snap the plastic rod the stylus arm is mounted to. Apparently worked nicely beforehand. Grr. Sure it could be replicated or industrialy glued back into place easy enough though. I'm just lazy. Internal speakers - really wants inputs added I reckon.

Full set of new BMC brake shoes - front and back. Might be worth a go for your Mini, Austin A30, Morris Minor/Marina, Landcrab or anything else with a A-Series and four wheel drums. Didn't do it for my brother's ute though, and fuck knows if I can finds the receipt. Was approx $140 new.

1 x old mountain bike. Sweet flat black paint job.
1 x Halfords Gemini 44. Rare. Looks a bit like a small Raleigh 20. 16" frame and wheels, but easy enough for a 6'6" geek like me to ride. 3 speed hub makes for surprisingly good speed too but needs adjustment (Always so fiddly getting it back in after changing the tube). Bit of a sentimental thing that I don't really want to get rid of, but I never ride it any more. Cost me $50 on trademe years ago so who knows how much its worth these days.

Wanna streamline some of my project bikes too. Shed needs a tidy - will get in and get some snaps hopefully.
1 x 18" chinese 'Royal Special'. Enclosed chain guard needs reshaping as a result of a road rage incident. Body is in pretty good condition but chrome is no longer chrome. Have a donor bike at work to get the (unusual) rear drum brake sussed hopefully.
1 x 18" folder
1 x 16" 1969 japanese bike. 18x1 3/8 wheels (tricky size). Have a spare set but they are a bit marginal. Needs new rods.
2 x 16" raleigh kids bike frames. Just need new wheels
1 x 20" BRATZ "chopper". Stole the whitewalls, but have a spare pair of 20x1.75 that should get it riding again.
1 x Raleigh 20 frame. Wants wheels, seat, rods and pedals.

Might also have a 3 speed Raleigh 20 and Ratty Oxford 20 at some stage, but I'm going to try be a bit motivated first.
