Always been a big Crux fan, but definately associate them more with OI!, The Crash side is wicked, definately got an OI! feel to it, but got some good raw 82 vocals, some two string solos and of course the most important ingredient to an 82' band..... a song about Thatcher.
Would go straight on Discogs and buy it, but I just spent the last of last weeks pay on an External Menace 7''. Good week for 82 for old brownie

The promo clip for 'Don't Mess With the S.A.S.' is one of the dorkiest things I've ever seen. The singer does the world's gayest jump off the drum riser as the song kicks in, and the drummer is so awkward on camera he doesn't know where to look every time there's a shot of him.

For someone whos as for diversity as he suggests he is, its a little strange hes not more embarrassed/apologetic for his conscious involvement with Rac and white power music. Its as if he knows he was in the wrong but hes too stubborn to admit it. People that stubborn are both dangerous and daft. Bit of a goose i reckon.

Mau Maus and Virus are both worth checking out.

Maus Maus are epic as, legit and fast punching. If you mean The Virus, they are street punk band from the states, sort of late 90's I think. Yanks often have great difficulty emulating uk82 brilliance. Street Punk definately stemmed from uk82 but the yank bands seem to produce a really non genuine street punk sound which is far too over produced and almost too marketable. But that is merely my opinion and also I was massively into that stuff in my late teens /early 20's. I think i still have my Virus and Cheap Sex records somewhere. I just listened to them on you tube, it wasn't even good for nostalgic purposes, The Virus do a good Blitz cover though.

I have a feeling there were two bands who shared that name. One L.A based, and one who stole the name and started in Sheffield not long after.
