This rockn roll styled guitaring joined with good boot stomping Oi! tunes is only really being pulled off by these guys, Crown Court and maybe Vanity from the states. But I have a copy of Vanitys 's more recent 'Dont be Shy' sitting in my room as we speak, I've only listened to it a couple of times. Their 'Vain in Life' release was pretty fist pumping, but had some divided responses. Rockn Roll Oi meets hipster rock was not an inaccurate description. Well if 'Vain in life' wasn't hipster rock enough, 'Dont be shy' definately is. It really is quite painful and i do no reccomend buying it whatsoever. The copy in my room belongs to a mate, he listened to it at mine and hasn't even bothered taking it home.
here it is if youre generally interested.
Whaaaaa? Don't Be Shy is way better than all that other cookie-cutter shite. It's a ballsy as fuck album with great songwriting and delivery. Got that old glam-rock 70's street rocker vibe to it. The 'acoustic' songs are great too.
One of my faves of 2016. For Punk, rock 'n' roll and any kind of guitar-based music in 2016 it's as genuine an album as I've heard. Mind you they probably don't care 2 shits about being an labelled 'Oi' and will keep on drinkin' down at the soccer tavern.
Would gladly take that LP of yer hands!
