also technically not reggae, but a pretty neat tribute to reggae legend. Payed $36 for the 45rpm 12" last weekend, totally worth it. B side was London calling and Folsom prison blues, i was pretty hungover when purchasing it and didn't realise that the neither of the b-side tracks were collaborative efforts. Unfortunate, but the A side is still tops.
Man that's awesome. I don't usually give a second thought to people behind the music other than the musicians themselves, but I have to say what Rick Ruben managed with Johnny Cash's American Recordings is pretty phenomenal, something I'll always be grateful for.
Traditional rude song which has also been done in Irish (as Bang Bang Rosie), country/Appalachian (Roy Acuff etc), and calypso versions. This is the definitive reggae/ska verion, best part is the loud trombone over the supposedly "censored" words.
