Probably shouldn't have hit approve when I did. It was just such a welcome change from all the eastern european porn aficionado that are weirdly interested in the NZ Punk Rock scene*.

Hey at least we're not in a facebook group

And It could be worse, imagine if people still went to punk shows and had fun, and posted about it here afterward - this would be way more depressing place for us

Thankfully the scene died when I stopped going to shows

yeh, there havnt been any decent punk show in years, scene just totally died, i think all the genuine people that gave it life have just moved on with their lives, the kids these days just arent as authentic, they werent there back when the scene had passion and vitality.

The last show I went to was a Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute show down at the local hall and it was fuckin sweet. 10 minutes walk from my house and BYO.

Last punk show? God damn I can't remember. Kids ruin you life man (not really but kind of haha). I think Good Riddance but that was over a year ago, and the crowd was a weird mix of desperate over 30s washed up Wellington yuppies.

I've been to heaps more internationals while over here, and passed up on a bunch more than I would have been able to too back homehaha. But haven't done many local shows....I'm looking forward to getting back and seeing some good ol' 'NZ bull dogging. It's possible that that exists here, but I doubt to the same degree, and it's not the same when you don't know the people involved.
