I'm trying to regain an understanding of the universe after having seen Roadtrip: The Cage Demise Story...

Great stuff though. Felt really long but I enjoyed it. I'm keen to see Cage Demise live now, just so I can recall classic lines such as "hit the fuckin' toilet for a mean poo" or "I'm cruising round the supermarket with Sam Sheppard buying some piss, this is awesome!"

Yeah, somehow they've given me 4 CDs and I've only seen them twice, been a while since I listened to any of them though. The Axeman gave me the Chuganaut CD. Tends to happen if you stand anywhere near people who have shit they can't get rid of!

I was at home... on a Friday night... watching a Cage Demise movie. I doubt I could even pay a manwhore to be interested in that. :baton:

I think I might have a copy of that Beltane CD. I have no idea how I got it. However, I have that Chugganaut CD and it was kindly gifted to me.

I now have the Chugganaut CD framed and displayed for all my metalhead friends to see

Oh yeah? I was thinking of resin casting the Chuganaut album to turn it into a valuable artwork.

Paul is a fan of the tragically absurd AND the absurdly tragic.

Holy fuck, hard to believe this has been out for over 2 years. I figured I'd take one for the team and watch it again. At least my urges aren't more regular I guess. To save you all the trouble I've compiled a top 10 list of quotes from the vid:

"You've had like a fuckin' mean roast on a Sunday night and it's about 7:30 and you hit the fuckin' toilet for a mean poo"

"I was pushing the trolley and I was thinking fuck, I'm cruising around the supermarket with Sam Sheppard buying some piss, this is awesome"

"As far as live bands is concerned, I never witnessed anythink until that day that a certain Mr Freeman dragged me along to 8 Foot Sativa show and it just broke my arse."

"Wrath is a prime example of, you know, working hard over the years, yeah it's taken them fifteen years to get their album out..."

"Turning on a radio and hearing uh... you know, metal, on the radio for everyone to hear was like... it was my dream from... from you know... when, you know when I was into Pantera you know, Korn, Slipknot you know, and uh Nirvana before that"

"Cage Demise had probably done about ten or so gigs by that stage, cause uh we were big-time you know."

"All our band money was going in the pokie machine."

"Looking back that musta been fuckin' terrible, but it felt cool."

"We called ourselves Rush, and it's not a name that I decided because I had a couple of you know, vinyls of the original British band called Rush." :explainittomelikeimfive:

"Gotta try and be the brutalest cunt anyone's ever seen, you know? That's what I try and do."

hahaha, those quotes almost make me feel like watching it.

I just skipped through and watched about ten minutes all up. There's literally a half dismantled stock car in one of the guys scenes, like they really wanted it proudly displayed in the background as a feature.

The thing I found bizarrely admirable is how those guys will still be absolutely fucking stoked on everything they achieved and probably sit around drinking in the shed after a week of working on cars or milking or whatever talking about the good old days before fiances and step kids put it all to rest.

Ooh, better download this and stash it alongside J Solo's A Lengthy Discussion. As I recall, as bad as it is that Bolo only managed to have sound in one channel, some of the sound in this rockumentalry is even worse.
